here are some links of DIY guides - So the valve clearance is set like the R15. The shims are used for backlash between the cam and rockers.

^^^ I'd like to know how much the white light fares on fog & rains. These are the two areas where I've most of my apprehension. I'm expecting a review on this BV, so pls don't disappoint me. Tks.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

I had these white bulbs in my esteem for some time (dont recall the brand) and it was all fine if the roads were dry.Originally posted by aargee View Post^^^ I'd like to know how much the white light fares on fog & rains.
A slight spell of rain and my speeds went down to double digits as all i could see was the light reflecting off the road.
Bulbs that disperse a tinge of yellow are best AFAIK. HID kits are available for the ninja but i dont know how reliable or how much reliability is compromised on the electrical circuits.
P.S. Hope the PIAA's prove me wrong though. ~5k for a set of bulbs is obscenely expensive
ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

And no wonder those ugly looking yellow fog lamps are best on hill station. I've been told that white light reflects as well as disperses easily compared to yellow. However, there're quite chances that the bulb could've a tinge of blue color that can prevent it from getting dispersed. Not sure though; only BV can confirm.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostBulbs that disperse a tinge of yellow are best AFAIK.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Me too! Am buying the PIAAs as well! I'm sure they're brilliant! The reviews all around suggest so..Originally posted by bluevolt View PostPicked up a pair of PIAA Extreme white plus H7 today - will post a review later when I get to try them on out on my bike.
They better be good! Cost me USD 100 a pair, which is 5x as expensive as my Osram 4000k's.

Done around 6700kms .. facing the same problem..Originally posted by n_venki_2001 View PostI have done around 7000KMs on my Ninja. From last 3 to 4 days, I am noticing vibrations on the handlebar and the rider seat when I run the bike beyond 100Kmph.
Anybody had similar issue?

Anybody had similar issue? Not a major issue but this is due to service done by technicians who are yet to learn a lot of things.Originally posted by vkuchhal View PostDone around 6700kms .. facing the same problem..

Don't know if it's due to service, as last service was done when my Ninja had completed 4000 KMs in Nov 2010. Post this service as well, I had run it around 125kmph and hardly noticed any vibration. It used to just glide.Originally posted by ashutosh_x View PostNot a major issue but this is due to service done by technicians who are yet to learn a lot of things.
