Damn you! in Bangalore they told me minimum 90 days for the green one...

I was almost set on the black one too.. But then while booking i turned back to have one last look at the display black one and there was a P220 right next to it and for a brief moment i couldn't differentiate between the two.. i decided then and there i will be booking a green one...

        • A No Brainer which took a lotta time for me to think.............

          Well,

Yes, I know choosing the baby Ninjette is a No Brainer, but it took me a while, a long one, really long I mean.

August 2010- I sell of the Yamaha Fazer, a year old, hoping that I'll get another ride very soon, the Ninja was always a dream, but I let it be a dream, I walked into the showroom, just to get a feel of it and touch her for the first time. I knew I wouldn't buy her, just the cost factor that was spoiling my otherwise dream of owning her. She stood there, right in front of me, dressed in Green, and there was another lady in Black. Fell in love with her the moment I saw her on display, went on, touched her, and oh it felt so good, it was like butterflies that you get when your better half tickles you. I decided then that I'll own her very soon.

September 2010- I go again, this time I dare to ask for the quotations with the loan details, the amount and stuff. Then I decided, I guess I can own her, she could be a reality for me very soon. That's when I started regretting that I had worked for 4 years in a row and hadn't saved a penny, it felt like s***. I gave myself sometime to think, a deep breath, and a decision, to start saving, save in the next 6-8 months and make the dp and pay the rest monthly.

December 2010- Heard about the CBR250R and the Mojo, gave it a thought, not my dream but a good value for money those rides are for sure, atleat for the cost that was shown, but its sad that the Mojo never made it to reality, as yet.

January 2011- Bookings commence for the CBR250R, I go to the showroom and book one, just for the heck of it, as a back-up if I can't save enough for my dream within the deadline. I never wanted to own a CBR, was a namesake decision. Deep in my mind, my thoughts, I even day dreamt about the beauty called the Ninja250R, day in and day out. The month end, I had a trip planned for Hyderabad, to meet my better half(unofficial for now), the very reliable Neeta Volvo helped me reach my destination, thanks to them. I get down and take a rick, and there I see a black Ninja standing at the Pro-Biking Showroom, I decide to come down in the evening and have a look at her again. So finally, me and my better half reached the Bajaj Pro-Biking Dealership at 7pm, thanks to me getting up late after an afternoon nap, I remember calling them like a 100 times just asking them to wait sometime, I assured them I'll be there by 6:45pm, but IST is in our blood, or mine atleast. Saw her, fell in love with her all over again, my better half too was super smitten by her, but she liked the Black one, and I being a guy, love the Green. Clicked a few pics, I got some encouragement from my better half which made me feel, I have saved, quite a lot in fact, so why not save some more, cut the expenses some more. I did.

March 2011- On exam leaves, but what the heck, still manage to attend my first Offline G2G. Met a lot of guys, and I really thank Vishwas Sir here for letting me ride his bike. It was the first time I met him, I was surprised that he agreed to let me take his Black Beauty on a stroll in the park for a while. I sit on her, the ignition keyed in, hit the stater, and whoa, it was the first time a thing gave me butterflies in my tummy, oh what a feeling it was. I was so bloody eager to take her on a ride, and there I go, deep in my head, I'm scared I don't ram Sir's beloved anywhere, but I want to experience what she is, opened her a bit, and man she sounded so much better that an opera singer on her last octave. The ninja for me hit the perfect note. I decided then, oh sure I'm getting you for myself too.

April 2011- The CBR is launched, a million complains about the quality of the cycle parts were out in the news and forums by then. But, it didn't matter, I knew I had to get her if I didn't save enough. Saw a few pics of the KTM 200 Duke in the meantime, loved the look of it, and I would still say she looks a machine, she looks the part, but not my cuppa tea. I decide to wait another month for the savings to reach and expected mark, high hopes you may call, LOL.

May 2011- The green month starts, well for me to be precise, it's like I'm bleeding blue all day, but I've booked the CBR, oh I'm in a fix and I hate this. I remember the ride- thanks to Vishwas Sir again, and again, the wait was killing and so was my dream calling, yelling at me- Hark! You want me, not that puny little thing, I say oh yes, I have butterflies in my tummy as I write this, I just love her, she's a beauty, she's the one I want to be with. Wednesday the 18th of May 2011, I make up my mind, it was the best decision I've made so far, I am owning her very soon, Friday, 20th of May 2011- I book the black beauty, now this one's for my better half for she loves the black Ninja, thanks to Vishwas Sir, the loan approval process as told by the Pro-Biking guys has been shortened, and it should be done in a week at the most(it would have been 15 to 20 days without the help of Vishwas Sir, and another 15 days for the bike to come.), so I should get my baby anytime soon. So the bottom-line, waiting for the loan to be approved, and the baby is mine.
          Wish me luck!

          Special thanks to:
My better Half- for all the support and encouragement.

Vishwas Sir- Thank you for letting me ride your baby, it helped me decide for sure, and another thanks for the phone call which made the loan process faster. You're a star!

            Hearty Congratulations both of you
I might be getting my Green Baby tomorrow

Thanks dude . I read about your troubles . I would suggest taking it to a higher source cause this is unacceptable . But be prepared to wait 45 days for the green or 15 for the black because that is the current time frame for delivery . I inquired while picking up the bike . I hope you get your ride soon mate !

@Krishna : I understand the emotions that have been flowing through you mate ! I had to wait 2 months since i first saw her in person before i took delivery , it was agonizing . The wait is certainly worth it . A true biker you are ! I picked up my green baby yesterday and i was touching every panel with a contented smile on my face cause i couldn't believe i owned her FINALLY ! Trust me you won't regret the decision of cutting down on other things to pay for her . I'm doing it and its worth it mate

Here's wishing you the very best and many more miles of riding ! Enjoy and do ride safe .

            P.S : Its a pain to stick to under 4k rpm !

            Regards,

As per PBK guys, the loan will be activated only after the bike delivery happens. I hope that is true or else I will have to start paying the installments right away for something I did not even get.

Do send Bajaj an email and tell them your story and how much disappointed you are,and are frustrated and will go to other bikes instead of N250,they will come running after you for sure.I read somewhere on an another forum where some guy wrote and email to the high command of an automobile company and the regional sales manager somehow managed to get him the vehicle from bangalore(he was from chennai),also complain about the dealer on how he (kinda) cheated you.
Dont worry, you will get your bike.Just remember to harass them like they harassed you.

Baaki everything is alright, But Vishwas uncle doesn't like being called Sir.. (Maybe thats the reason why the Queen couldn't get an appointment yet ). But you can call him uncle if you want

And almost forgot.. Congratulations.. The CBR was never worth it . I could see that in you when we saw the CBR in flesh for the first time (@Pashankar). It was peculiar how you kept trying to convince yourself that this is the best.. when in your heart you already knew the truth

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                      • Completed the second running period yesterday. So, it's the time to have blast
Ninja is rocket after 8K rpm
But, few things came to my concern
                        1. I made gear changes at around 10K rpm but it some what showed unwillingness to go above speeds of 120KMPH, it felt something unusual as it blasted from 0-100KMPH like a rocket after that it showed some resistance
                        2. When I made a gear change around 12K, I heard some sounds like 'Kirrrr Kirrrr' some what like a keychain vibrating or some loose bolts but I didn't had any keychain that time just the key, felt it was coming from around instrument cluster
Had anyone faced similar issues ?

But, few things came to my concern
                            1. I made gear changes at around 10K rpm but it some what showed unwillingness to go above speeds of 120KMPH, it felt something unusual as it blasted from 0-100KMPH like a rocket after that it showed some resistance
                            2. When I made a gear change around 12K, I heard some sounds like 'Kirrrr Kirrrr' some what like a keychain vibrating or some loose bolts but I didn't had any keychain that time just the key, felt it was coming from around instrument cluster
Had anyone faced similar issues ?
                            1. 0-100 quick and then after that till 140 a bit reluctance but then from 150 onwards it becomes a bit more slow.
                            2. You might want to get it check at the PBK , i did not face any kind of issue till now..
                            RIP Marco

Krishna, the pleasure is all mine. Let's hope you get your bike by next weekend so we can go on the ride together.

I don't believe that the charges should be so different for these two cities. Can you take print out of my bills and check with your local Bajaj sales team? I am sure that the charges have to be similar or something extra is being done during the service (like change of brake pads etc.)

As the PBK @ Hyderabad informed that the bike is ready and just waiting for the box to be opened, I paid the booking amount and also applied for the HDFC Loan. Till yesterday PBK said that the bike is all ready and waiting for me inside the box.
I also requested that I'd want to be there while they open the box

When I was all ready, with loan approvals, DP and waiting to take delivery tomorrow (as promised), today they call me up and say that the bike has some problems and they have to order for a new one for which there is no ETA as Green is not available in stock anywhere

When i asked them that I'd like to have a look at the bike, they say all cock and bull stories and inform that they applied for some insurance for that particular damaged bike

I strongly believe that they just gave the delivery to some other customer taking some extra premium amount
Latest Update: I sent a mail to Bajaj customercare and with in 2 hours I get a call from dealer asking "Sir Why did you raise a complaint to Customer Care"
Its very clear that they gave the bike to someone else which was promised for me.

I called up Customer care to find out what update PBK has given to Bajaj. And they say a different story here. They say that they ordered the bike just last week and there was delay from plant and also there was delay in
the loan approval from HDFC because of which they could not deliver the bike to me. Where as the loan approval was received on Tuesday itself.
