The only way they can reduce price and make profit at the same time is for kawasaki to start manufacturing it in india... which IMO is not gonna happen any time soon...Originally posted by aargee View Post

A honest ans sought from only NINJA 250R owners
Guys, can you reveal the actual top end achieved by you on Indian roads? I have known so far its 165 km/hr. Am nastily obfuscated between CBR and Ninja now?

Your bike is way better than babes, only thing is that you need a proper vision to mull over this fact. :D

the needle went over the 170 "line".Originally posted by pravu View PostGuys, can you reveal the actual top end achieved by you on Indian roads? I have known so far its 165 km/hr. Am nastily obfuscated between CBR and Ninja now?
couldn't really tell if it was 172/173 or 174.
was kinda concentrating on the Road.
(you asked for actual top end...
i'm talking bout speedo indicated top end.).

@ above
I meant actual top end means the speed indicated on speedometer which is speedo inclusive. I did not mean the true speed anyways. And thanks for the fig, 170 is kind of hefty for Indian roads. I am slowly getting inclined to Ninja now.sigpic

Originally posted by kiran_borra View PostMy delivery for the Green Ninja got delayed.
As the PBK @ Hyderabad informed that the bike is ready and just waiting for the box to be opened, I paid the booking amount and also applied for the HDFC Loan. Till yesterday PBK said that the bike is all ready and waiting for me inside the box.
I also requested that I'd want to be there while they open the box
When I was all ready, with loan approvals, DP and waiting to take delivery tomorrow (as promised), today they call me up and say that the bike has some problems and they have to order for a new one for which there is no ETA as Green is not available in stock anywhere
When i asked them that I'd like to have a look at the bike, they say all cock and bull stories and inform that they applied for some insurance for that particular damaged bike
I strongly believe that they just gave the delivery to some other customer taking some extra premium amount

Originally posted by kiran_borra View PostLatest Update: I sent a mail to Bajaj customercare and with in 2 hours I get a call from dealer asking "Sir Why did you raise a complaint to Customer Care"

Its very clear that they gave the bike to someone else which was promised for me.
I called up Customer care to find out what update PBK has given to Bajaj. And they say a different story here. They say that they ordered the bike just last week and there was delay from plant and also there was delay in
the loan approval from HDFC because of which they could not deliver the bike to me. Where as the loan approval was received on Tuesday itself.

Latest Update Today: The dealer calls me up again today and finally agrees the truth that they gave off the bike to some other customer as my loan approval got delayed by a week. They already placed the order for Green which was expected to arrive on last Saturday (day of my delivery) but the Head Office informed them that There is no availability of Green presently.
Was not convinced with the explanation he gave me why the other customer was given the bike first but I had no other option than to get convinced as this is the only Pro Biking showroom in Hyderabad which deals with Ninja's and end of day I would need to take the bike from them only after a month or may be two
Called up CC again and said them that I am not ready to wait for so many days and I will cancel my order and go for CBR250R if my delivery gets more delayed
They said that I will very soon get a call from their Dispatch department from the head Office
Lets see where my Hunt Ends

I've positively gone above 180kmph, in fact 182kmph ish and i weigh 88kgsOriginally posted by pravu View PostGuys, can you reveal the actual top end achieved by you on Indian roads? I have known so far its 165 km/hr. Am nastily obfuscated between CBR and Ninja now?
it does 165 without the need for the favourable gradient but in order to go above 170 then it needed a sloping gradient! careful with the cross winds though
