@ All- The Pro-Biking guys have two different covers, I spoke to Yogesh @ PBK Pune today to confirm, one costs around Rs 500/- and the other one costs around Rs 1000/-. So guess what u guys have is the more expensive one. I'll check both, so lets see, if the 500 one's really sad, then the 1000 one would make more sense..............

ninja is definitely not a toy bike. it is brutally powerful. the idea is to ride responsibly and comfortably within your absolute confidence level. do push the bike to the max but on a road that you know inside out and for a distance that you can totally concentrate without even blinking your eyes even once. if i have to recommended a safe riding max speed for the ninja it stops at 120 kph.

ride safe ride long.. should be the thumb rule for all my young ninja owners out there.
firstly thanks for the advice and your concerns are appreciated.

secondly if you think i've done 150kmph all the way through then you're mistaken as i'd obviously had to take into consideration the stray dogs, children crossing, autos travelling the wrong way, parked vehicles, branches laid out marking a vehicle breakdown, slow indecisive drivers and understanding the perception of the majority that two wheelers are slow moving. i follow a similar mantra which is to maintain approximately double the emergency stopping distance between my bike and the vehicle in front at respective speeds besides the fact it i reduced the speed to 130kmph at the first sight of a potential hazard.

my comment was merely to emphasise the ease at which the ninja can maintain 150+ for lengthy durations (this is purely subjective again)...our average speed was 125kmph over the entire return trip (bangalore-hyderabad 560km)

thirdly the road was ridiculously clear (one truck every few mins) and the entire road is brilliantly laid out with sign posts and the ride was done during daylight with breaks when felt necessary

brilliant cover for the price...i used that to cover my bike for 55 days and there was hardly any dust on the bike!

      • 120/130 feels effortless.
150/155 feels fast & kinda effortless too.
165/170 n up feels like the limit.

also... keeping in mind how brilliant the brakes on the N250R are...
it's prolly safer to ride it fast(er) than you normally would.

        feels like twin disks upfront.

100kms to 0kms in under 45 meters. (yes i measured)

        • While going to office this morning on NH24, a freaking A****** Honda City driver turned in the middle of th road without giving any indication. I was going at speed of around 40kmph and applied the full front brakes then too he bike front fairing got smashed. Minor scratches on front fairing and front indicator broken.
And that Honda City driver ran from there, feeling like killing that *******.

            That's sad and Irritating
Indicator can be fixed by yourself instead of paying a fortune to the PBK guys. Scratches needs to be taken care of depending on the severity.
Hope no other major damage has happened.

Scratches are not severe, just that paint chipped from that car and stick to the front fairing, I think that can be done by some rubbing and buffing.
I don't think indicator could be fixed as it is broken from centre, after that flexible part. That need to stick with some glue and I don't think it will then last long as it broken from centre. Just check the post few pages back, indicator costs around 1500 bucks.

                  very sad to hear!

Rs 1500 is surely overpriced like every other part (i remember paying Rs 100 for a rubber stopper on the handlebar which costs Rs 5 on a pulsar!)

Would cheaper Pulsar etc. indicators fit ? Might be worth a try

                        Thanks everyone for your concern.
Took a half day from office and decided to go to PBK. On the midway to PBK, I decided to take chance as I was having the broken indicator. Went straight to Karol Bagh, where I can get this fixed up. Mechanic there said it would work and then deep breathe, sigh of relief. The indicator bulb just need to be replaced as filment got broken due to the impact.
                        Total cost incured Rs. 35 = 15(bulb) + 20(labor).
After that took it to the PBK to have final check. There all worked fine, the minor scratches were easily removed through rubbing and NINJA is back in shape as before though the right indicator vibrates a little more than usual might be due to impact.

no offence to you therealabhinav .. now your post is clear. my idea was just to caution first time ninja owners not to get carried away with the thought of unlimited speed. i do appreciate the thrill of riding the ninja is the power and speed. just we should enjoy them responsibly.
