Can the thread starter edit his first post and put in details of following - (please add if I have forgotten anything)

    1. FZ16 hugger by Bluevolt
    2. Fiat Palio bulbs instead of stock bulbs
    3. TVS Jive indicators instead of stock indicators
    4. ROLON chain instead of stock chain
    5. R15 spark plugs instead of stock spark plugs

May be answers to certain routine questions can also be incorporated there.

      Good idea TV.

On the headlight bulb i changed my stock bulb which fused to Philips X-treme Power part # 12792 (+100% brightness, +35m beam). Cost me 600 bucks. You/thread starter might want to include this piece of info in the first post.

Regarding the rolon chain, has the company sent only the sample or do they have the X-ring chain in production which are available off the shelf at shops? Bit confused on this. Is this a stop gap alternative or a permanent fix to the issue?

AFAIK motul does not have 20W50 in SS or FS, However they have launched a new Mineral called 3100 Gold 20W50 which is Pretty good.

          The SS and FS variants are 5100 15W50, 7100 15W50 and 300v 15W50.

How is Philips performance wise?? I ordered for an Osram Sylvania H7, but it got lost. Thanks to our customs and postal service.

I replaced stock bulb with palio bulb. Same specs. Lower price. Rs.300 approx.

I can't include this info in the first post. Only the thread starter can do it. Why don't we all bug him to do it?

Ideally, this info should have links to all the relevant posts but it is too much work to find those posts.

As far as I know, R & D department of ROLON has prepared 2 nos. of this chain and sent them to Pune. So they would not be available off the shelf in shops. You may want to get in touch with local branch office of ROLON to get some in your city.

This is not a stop gap alternative. This is a replacement product made as per specs of Ninja 250R.

The stop gap alternative is to use Karizma chain after removing some links. It is a Non O ring chain though.

Yeah am running part Kawasaki and part Pulsar lights on my Ninja. The Pulsar is the dim and Kawi is the bright one. Pulsar is more wheatish and Ninja one is yellowish. Costed me around 300 bucks for the pulsar one.

Motul 7100 is Fully Synth oil (single ester) and is available in 20w50 grade. I am running this on my ninja currently.

I bought the Philips bulb from JC road... from an authorised Philips distributor. Details available on the philips website and on my post few pages back. As per online reviews these bulbs last over 15k kms. They are definitely brighter (the X-treme Power bulbs) than stock ones.

A separate thread would be the best approach IMO. That would keep all the info handy and up-to-date.

Venkat Shyam did the same test on the India Kawasaki 650 group, and though the P220 lights appeared better, this is the real lux test
