dont just imagine a motorcycle coming your way from straight ahead, almost every one can see and judge that. Common scenarios like trying to overtake and looking for a pass makes it much safer for motorcyclists to execute, if they are seen in the rear view mirrors by the road users ahead of them.
It's a very basic safety measure one SHOULD practise. Our group ALWAYS had its headlights ON in pulsars, discovers and splendours when ever we were on road and trust me they make a huge difference.

Regarding the "India only" bright daylight and all, don't think that US and UK don't feel the heat. Be happy, that you don't have to wear high visibility jackets over you aplinestars

So now the Sun candelas in Delhi will decide as to what other dark corners of our country can get too ? Because delhis summers are brighter than most of the brains riding a motorcycle on its roads, you would think its the same case everywhere else ?

Jesus ! ppl complain about everything..bajaj should do this and bajaj should do that. Bajaj is gving u a pure quality product in "as is" condition from markets abroad and you want indian customization done onto such products !!!

sorry I never usually crib so much but.. by golly,ppl are complaining about the DRL based on 1) Delhi Summers

2) Fuel consumption

Also its insane spam considering this thread is a part of ownership experience and not of any 'theory making' competition !

Precisely! People just can't appreciate what they have got. They WILL find out something or the other to crib about! Come-on, 3-4 pages worth of absolutely worthless discussions on the "default ON" headlights!? It is a feature provided on almost all the bigger engined bikes, and motorcycles available abroad. What's so 'sensational' about it, that we need to discuss it page after page; I just do not understand.

How ridiculous can we be? Absolutely unbelievable.

Question: Why did you choose a tank bag instead of bungee cording your bag on the rear seat?

Like Bluevolt said, I also felt bungee cords on the rear seat would have been a better option. In case you didn't notice, there are hooks for them already below the tail lamp!

The tank bag is the best way to access things right when you need them. Eg. DSLR

As for the pillion seat, even bungee cords can scratch the rear panels and I would have to use a cloth there. Second thing is, every now and then I need check if it has shifted position. Third, it becomes harder to put your leg over the bag to sit on the bike and get off. Considering all this, I found the tank bag to be a better option.
