Ground clearance hasn't bothered me until now. I haven't hit anything till date, which is quite surprising myself. When I purchased the bike, the guy explained to me clearly that the bottom part of the fairing is actually not the lowest part in the bike. When you look down, under the bike, a portion of the chasis can be seen, somewhere near the part where the monoshock sits. This part actually protrudes a little below the fairing. So if something actually gets hit, its gotta be this. And this can't really get damaged until the hit is very bad.
hmm what I want to see is how does the Ninja fare when you hit a big bump/pothole at 70-100 kmph , does it come as a rude surprise

Although bullets with 140 mm gc hasn't given any one problems so far , I doubt if 135 wud be a problem.

Low Ground clearance will come to picture only when you ride doubles just like in FZ.

GC for FZ is 160mm. It never hits humps when riding single even when i am jumping the humps. But when riding doubles even if you ride in little bit of speed it hits the humps, have to go extremely slow just like in cars for FZ16 when in doubles.

I also had bent down&noticed this when I saw the bike at PBK Hyderabad. I was wondering what could be the extent of damage if this is bumped over a speedbreaker or something? Or is it possible to have a rubber cushion or something underneath to prevent direct hit to the suspension link?

                    • i do not think there wll be any ground clearance issues with this bike except for when u go over somethin really really bad.like a huge speedbreaker or somethin like that.

i had my first proper ride experience on the ninja yesterday thanks to TENHUT. i just have this to say about it. "BLOODY BRILLIANT". The bike inspires so much confidence that it is hard not to go fast.60 felt like 30 on this bike.i dont yet knw how it will be at higher speeds but the impressions were very good indeed.it is an extreamly stable bike even when leaned over and the power dilivery is spot on and very linear. an amzing bike.

                      • Has any Ninja owners from Pune been to khopoli, use the bypass around lonavala, and there is these sets of speedbreakers that alway makes contact with my R15! Off late I slow down and step on the speed breakers!!

Am a bit confused about the Ninja.... reading a lot of naansense posts in the Cost of Ownership thread :P so heck, let me be confused for now!

                              • Why are we talking about the GC here? Its just like driving a Crore car in bumper to bumper **VARANASI traffic and keep getting heart attaks because someone touched you're RVM's!!!

**people and roads in Varanasi are totally irresponsible when it comes to riding/driving, belive me Delhi or anyother city traffic is nothing compared to the Insane Kashi traffic.

BTW..anyone come up with 'real review' please!!
