AFAIK it doesn't void warranty. I've used motul ever since my first service (1000km). Motul was in fact recommended by Arif (hyd pbk ninja technician).Originally posted by hellbreaker46 View PostWill using Motul instead of Dtsi oil void the warranty of the Ninja? Today I called up Mr Karthik svc advicer Khivraj Pbk for the svc of my Bike, I enquired him about the SVC (estimated cost and all) he told that any other oil other than the Dtsi oil would void the warranty. I have already purchased Motul. What should I do? go with the Dtsi oil or Motul.
Your manager is a very good story teller...
p.s. do check with other senior members for confirmations

I think this issue has occurred earlier also, in someone's bike. May be due to air bubble in the line or brake fluid absorbing moisture.Originally posted by Yasser View PostHey Friends!
Writing in to report an issue, I faced with my Ninja yesterday. I tried taking my bike out, after almost 15 days and to my surprise found that I could'nt move the bike an inch from where it was parked. The bike simply would'nt move on checking I realised, that the rear disc was jammed.
Called Arif at PBK and he has promised to come down and have a look today. Will keep you guys posted on what really happened.
Thought you guys should know, as it can be very dangerous if this happens when the bike is in motion. Also wanted to check, if this has happened to any of you??
The workaround: bleed the brake fluid.. this will release the brake pads from the disc.. bike is ready to move... and then refill it cautiously.
Today made a visit to PBK.. as the bike seemed to be under performing a bit. I opened the throttle at a straight stretch and the bike would not go above 140.(no wind resistance etc..).
PBK service engineers found the chain to very tight and readjusted it. and the problem got solved..
RIP Marco

I dont see any changes to Green. Only the black has some stickering scheme which is sold as a special edition abroad (US Markets).Originally posted by EverShine View PostI like the 250R the way it is now but that new 650 looks as mean as it is green. Nice work on the tank there, especially the black highlight (is that what you call it?).
TrustVishwas had reported this exact issue and the solution for it too. See this.Originally posted by Yasser View PostI tried taking my bike out, after almost 15 days and to my surprise found that I could'nt move the bike an inch from where it was parked. IMO, they should get the red and the blue colors down here too. I love the blue shade on the ninja's which are sold in the US.Originally posted by bikemanic View Postguys the 2012 N250R lime green is now candy lime green looks very attractive, will bajaj bring it here since it's CKD i think we should get it ???
Nonsense. I switched to Motul after ~4k kms and have been on motul ever since. The manual suggests the grade not the brand of oil. Speak to Mr. Rajesh Bharonda who is the branch manager at Khivraj motors, Indranagar. (same place where ninja's are serviced) if you need to escalate. Avoid the bajaj oil. they dont last long enough for the ninja's high revving engine.Originally posted by hellbreaker46 View PostWill using Motul instead of Dtsi oil void the warranty of the Ninja? +1. Personally i find Karthik pretty immature. I dont find him knowledgeable too.Originally posted by justyhere View PostPlease don't ask Karthik about all this. I really dont think he knows much. He will just give you his version of, what is right.

quite an interesting question considering the fact there is N650 around. on the track the ninja 250 may definitely give the 650 a run for the money if not better it.Originally posted by kiran_borra View PostGuys!
Any internal news on when would be the next GREEN DAY ?
I'm eagerly waiting for one
so there may be 2 separate sessions one for 650 owners and one for 250 guys and the same may be in Delhi next year. i some times wonder any comparisons between the 650 and 250 on the tracks ?
serious types need not wait for green day. just plan on going to C sup bike School probably in Feb2012. if i can afford to buy one piece race leathers (35k)+boots (15k) before feb 2012 i am planning to give it a shot.Mountain biking on impulse with my wife and our bike goes down in water

But GREEN DAY would help me give a taste of the track...
If I feel I got that in me I'd definitely try CSBS
If possible can all of us write to Bajaj in anyway to organize the second GREEN DAY ???

My issue was bit different but with same results. I had ridden my bike around 500 mtr from my home, parked it, had coffee and then when started back, the brakes locked.
It seems that during pressure wash, the rubber bushing (whatever it is called) of rear brake cylinder had cracked and water had entered it.
As an owner who has ridden both on track, I can safely say that a 650 will kick 250's backside on chennai track. Due to superior power figures, it can reach much higher speeds and will corner decently (certainly not as good as 250).Originally posted by harikeshpk View Postquite an interesting question considering the fact there is N650 around. on the track the ninja 250 may definitely give the 650 a run for the money if not better it.

250 feels underpowered on the track and there 650 will score. On a smaller track like Coimbatore, it may be a different story.

Green day is not a training day but where all would enjoy track riding.
CSS is a serious training session. However, one piece leather suit was not compulsory last time. (it was compulsory first time but not on second)Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

I have the whole set, but fear to use the suction mount because it might come off. I use the adhesive mounts instead. Definitely much safer. I don't think it will fit with other cameras since GoPro uses a very different mounting system.Originally posted by bikemanic View Postanyone here using a tank mount for shooting video's ??? a link would be appreciated

Use the helmet cam - best place to shoot from, because the body offers better damping, and you can actually face the direction of the subject you want to shoot while you are riding. Fixed mounts will only take pictures of the set direction.
