    1) Can someone tell me if this is the case at other dealers as well?
    2) What are the alternative manufacturers (Indian brands) that have been tried

I also had a chat with Prasanna and looks like it takes a really long time to get the tyres sourced via bajaj!
Getting sport demons actually quite easily in Mumbai, none of us in our group have had an issue on this... tho prices have gone up in the last couple of months... i paid 3.8k for the rear PSD, now they are asking about 4.2 - 4.3k, but still available..
If you are not afraid, you have probably chosen too easy a mountain to climb!!

Exactly this is what i was trying to say.

@TrustVishwas: Quote can be done either high or low but we have to judge the real value.

Even i said a good condition would cost around 2L, but you are a owner of Ninja so you are giving wrong values. Every one wants to sell at premium price. But real value is far less then what is expected for this rare awesome Species !!

This guy is an all round automobile lover. Has N250, an R15, ZMR and a HH Passion. Has a Honda City & an Innova too.. So Imagine... He just sold his R15 too, as he didnt have time to ride. Rides only on weekend kind of.

Mate! The bike was kept in a closed garage always when parked, can call it a showcase

      regards
Then this should be a Good Bike so check wisely and Quote accordingly!

Welcome the Ninja to your Stable Mate !

2010 model should cost around 2L if it's in real superb comndtion!! else it will come more down near to 1.75 L

There is a second dealer in Bhiwandi for used bikes. He quoted 1.25 lakhs for my friends good ninja June 2010 model.

I still stand by what I had written earlier.

Either provide such bike available for sale or stop conjuring something out of thin air.

This is a Ninja Ownership thread and owners know value / pricing / cost of what they ride. Either you don't know it or don't want to understand.

I am out of this discussion. Please continue your rant if you feel like it.

          • Right... So my HID installation has been a constant source of worry from me, right from the moment I decided to install it... Installation was a pain, within an hour of installation, I broke one ballast, trying to fix that I managed to turn off both lights and one CFL angel eye... I managed to buy replacement ballasts yesterday and finally one HID + one angel eye is working, the other ones are kaput... Anyone know of a mechanic near lokhandwala I can take my bike to to get it fixed? I also need to get the alignment of the lights sorted out, as I think it's currently too high... Cheers!!!

I doubt there is a problem with the classified section, it's just that each post is approved by a mod, and that generally takes them a week or so... Good luck with the sale!!!

                  • So I took my bike to "torque24" a small biking shop in juju gali, before the BMW showroom on the left side. The mech there managed to sort out my issues. It basically boiled down to bad wiring, which once he fixed/replaced, solved my dilemma. He also corrected the throw of the lights and they are finally looking where they should. He also has some neat gear for bikes there...

BTW Trustvishvash & Aditya, has any1 of you ever taken the Ninja to Leh? Or can you comment, what issue would one face with a Ninja in Leh & necessary precautions, & modifications if needed.

I did not take my Ninja to Leh because -
                        1. When I went to Leh, Ninja was a very new launch and I was doubtful about service backup if required.
                        2. I was not really willing to spend 10k+ on a side fairing in case I fell down in ice.

About general precautions for Leh Ride, you can read this -

Thanks Vishwas, now on the topic of Ninja to leh, even I am in a dilema to take her or hire a bull. Though I didn't fall in the last trip, one cannot count on not falling. Plus, I did manage to scrap the underbody, fenders, etc while negotiating water crossings. The only negative point is the hard seat that does take a toll on your back side. Rest, I have heard stories of people who have sucessfully done Leh on their ninja's.
