There is no known dyno facility available to tune it... almost makes me wish my bike was carbureted so I could just rejet it...
dude what exhaust are u using ? and did u remap the power commander ? what are ur performance gains ?

I'm using an un branded exhaust which I imported from china. Also using power commander V with full yoshimura map w/o baffle, stock air filter. Performance were quiet significant in the low to mid range... Very happy to nev from low down in the rev range now... I can't give you actual figures, due to lack of a dyno facility...

        Hi

I would suggest to get Autotune from Dynojet rather than looking for another system.

I loaded that map and After every day ride for abt 3 hrs, i connect the PCV to laptop and accecpt the value suggested by the PC Autotune.
        Easy to use software.

This was for 2 weeks. After that the values in the map stayed almost stable.
so didn't change/ accecpt them when checked by connecting to pc.
It has usb port for connectivity. But i was not happy with the performance.

My suggestion, Just change only the exhaust.
You will feel the difference if it is branded full system.

Don't remove the snorkel/change Air filter.
The oil gets very dirty quickly during rainy season.

        Important:-

FE is approx 18km/liter after powercommander installation.
After messing with Autotune it came to 13kmpl.
        Before it was 25kmpl.

If you want more pickup, just change the gearing to 13 / 43.
        This is very low-cost mod.
        Instant-excellent pickup you would get.
        The top wil reduce little.

You can reach 140-150 quickly, i mean very quick.
Now i am happy user with my AreaP full system and gearing 13 only.
Snorkle back and PCV and Autotune removed.

To be honest PCV is not worth if Ninja 250.

There were many posts asking if anyone uses PCV.
I never replied because may be it might be only me who is not satisfied with it on Ninja 250.

But now i think that is true.

But the brakes on the 250R are excellent so i dont think you need to upgrade the pads.

Do bleed the brake system and fill fresh fluid. If you feel the brakes are spongy and lack bite, then you will need to bleed the brake lines. You will see significant improvement in the braking force and bite.
brakes arent spongy and the bite is perfect!!
i am experiencing something similar to what we call brake fading in cars!!

anyways will try bleeding the brakesystem and lines if needed
R.I.P vinu s v,you will never be forgotten

            • Hi All,
This is my first post so please pardon me for any errors.
There is a very annoying problem which I am facing with my N250. The handle is feeling very heavy at slow speeds and also the bike seems to be drifting towards the right. So can you tell me what could be the problem?

A few things that may be the reason:

                1. A bent fork\fork seals leaking
                2. Wheels wrongly aligned
                3. Handle bars not correctly aligned

Better take it to the SC and let them have a look. (Let us know what they find )

Mine does not have carb plugs! It's an FI model!
In any case.. I will not be attempting the install on my own.

My bad... I meant injector plugs... Lol

Continue to run your PCV harness with the main wiring harness.
Pass it under the frame into the area of the injectors. Here you can see
that I have already plugged the injectors in-line with the PCV. Note that
                        the Red & YELLOW wired connectors are plugged into cylinder #2. {Right Side of the Bike}
                        The Red & ORANGE wired connectors are plugged into cylinder #1 {Left Side of the Bike}

OK. In any case i won't be doing this myself.
                          So..... no worries for me.

Does the front end make a clicking sound under heavy breaking? it could also be a loose nut ( not sure what it is called but the one near the handle bars..) or issue with the cones. Do take the bike to the SC at the earliest...

BTW, what is the odo reading?

                            • Guys,
I am a gs150r owner. I have no experience of owning a sporgs bike. But now thinking of getting me a used ninja in Bangalore. But most of my friends discouraging from that saying maintaining n250r is really costly. I can spend 3-5k every month for my ride apart from fuel. Will that be enough? Can you guys throw some light on it. Also whether I have to keep my current bike or ninja can be used as allrounder?

Also what are the things to be checked when getting a used n250r?

You wont need to spend 3-5 k on the maintenance of a Ninja apart from fuel. It is never that expensive to maintain. Each service has a significant cost alright, but one must note that the gap between services is of 6000 kms, which is as big as that of a car. Consequently, the frequency is less.
