Loose Handle grips
My bikes handle grips have become loose.... The throttle grip was fixed by me few months back but again it has started slipping... and the rubber seems to have swollen..... Stock ones cost Rs 850 per piece... After market ones are available with PRS @ Rs 1200....
Has anyone faced it with their bikes...?
Are aftermarket grips better than stock grips...?

Ninja @ Leh ??
I used Orazo Picus Sunil. Was much better than expected. Water did seep in during a crossing - but that was only a tiny bit. The grip was good and had decent protection against cold as well.Originally posted by Malpotra View Post@ Mithungo which boots did you use for the trip....? Are they waterproof...?

Regarding the saddle bags - used Dirtsack Speedbag (2750 Rs). They are not waterproof - you will have to tie a polythene strip around it. Mine was uncovered all the way, and the bag did let in a bit of water inside. Nothing too much though - it is water resistant somewhat.
There were no mounting issues as such - though the bag buffs the paint of your rear panels. I had the bag laid over a towel from the second day to prevent further scratches. It clears the exhaust with an inch or two to spare - so make sure you tie it correctly.
I had planned the Mum-Ahmedabad-Udaipur-Delhi-Jammu-Srinagar-Kargil-Leh-Ktop-Leh-Pangong-Leh-Pang-Keylong-Manali-Delhi-Indore-Nasik-Mumbai route.Originally posted by Malpotra View PostWhich route did you take buddy...? Did you carry extra fuel with you....?
I had two 5Lt cans with me. But did not find any use to it till Leh. You will have to worry only on the Leh-Pang-Keylong route - if you choose to take it. I had to cancel that leg of my journey due to land slides.

I am also facing the problem but on the left hand side grip. It became loose some months ago and I asked to change it on the service but they didn't because of no stock. Now I have no problem for using loose grip because of long time use.Originally posted by Malpotra View PostMy bikes handle grips have become loose.... I wonder why the difference. Will it be possible for you to send me clear enough scans/images of your documentation so that I can try and find out why so much of a difference?Originally posted by Malpotra View Post@ Isodope, Oriental Insurance is offering the same at Rs 4300 for a one year old vehicle with Zero depriciation and complete coverage. I myself raised this issue when my bike was 23 months old. Got the grips replaced under warranty. If your bikes are still in warranty, complain to the Bajaj service engineer or on their website.Originally posted by maheshkmr View PostI am also facing the problem but on the left hand side grip. ) and he said not to go which Normal CBRs plastic hugger because it dosent last long. can any one confirm me on this? so that i could buy it tomorrow
