1000 over finally
And here we go guys. My bike's finally gonna complete 1000kms. Planning to take it to the service tomorrow.
Where can I get the Motul Oil? And btw the SC told me that the 1st service would cost me 1500rs. I am wondering if I take my own Oil that is the motul , will there be any reduction in price as their price is inclusive of the DTSI oil which they put?
Any idea?

No shops will take back motorycycle tyres like cars tyres I think. so why waste money? When you get the bike enjoy it or some time as stock then you can change to better tyres if you want more grip.

Got the steering cone set from KTM Kothrud. To my surprise, it costs a very reasonable Rs 1200 for the entire set, which is made in Japan. However, the bearings that were given to me were Bajaj bearings made in India so I'm going to try to find a way to use either Honda or Yamaha ones if they've got the same size bearings.

AFAIK, Pirelli's are not available anymore due to the ISI marking issue going on. Where are you sourcing your Pirelli's from?

Point - Stick with 130/70 & don't go for 140/70. Surprised?
As a C250R owner & a stock lover I'm bound to stick to 140/70-17. So when I tried getting THE BEST in the market, there's a big shock!!! There're only 3 manufacturers who make 140/70. MRF, Conti & Dunlop.
I've tried going up to Bridgestone Battleax (I know they cost a bomb but still) & finally understood the (call it whatever) governing this country banned any tire imports from abroad because they do not have ISI mark (WTH!!! tires like Michelin are unsafe because they do not have ISI...what crap)
So my 1 month of search was limited to the above 3 brands; MRF dealer said it takes about 10+ days for them to place an order & get one, Conti was available off the shelf & Dunlop was comparatively better. I sticked to the known angel Conti.
Quite surprisingly I found PSD 130/110-17 was available at most places (they said it was old imports) & they've been stocked before this ISI thing was put into place.
Last but not the least, I'm sharing my 2 cents of my experience what I came across the market & no way trying to change anyone's opinion. Pls use discretion.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Yes. We can / should use it only in rainy season. It restricts air flow to some extend. Ambient temperature in rainy season is less so it is ok but the bike would heat up in summer.
Installing or dismantling this metal strip is hardly a 10 min job though.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

rear tyre giving problems...
hey guys i am having a lot of problems with the rear tyre on my ninja250r lately. I had put a 140 section rear tyre on the bike, because the old IRC had worn out, The tyre refuses to grip and feels really hard now, also when downshifting from high speeds it slips and wobbles under engine braking. i had a run with my friend's Ninja250r but couldnt keep up with his 250r as I would earlier. My bike was continiously losing tenths to his bike, could this be because of the 140 section tyre? Does upsizing tyres on a ninja affect its performance? Also the bike feels a lot less flickable than before. Some of the posts here specify that a 140 section tyre would be good for the bike, but that is not true in my case, so should i get back to the original 130 section IRCs, or go for a 140 section from another brand. It is currently fitted with a Duro arrow 140/70 section, is it the culprit?
I gun the throttle, the motorbike wails, the forks heave up, the revs climb, my view blurs, air gushes in my lid, muscles tighten, street lights streak. Just another day at work...
