    If 10w40 is the recomended grade and you are unable to find it (10w40 comes in semi and full synthetic only) , you can use 20w40 mineral yamalube as well for the climate in Bangladesh. That Yamalube is an excellent oil . Replace oil every 2000 kms .
    Edit : if 20w50 is recommended (please confirm from service center) try to find 15w50 or 20w50 (JASO) only . Yamalube also comes in 15w50 (SS) grade .

      A friend's friend had crashed his Ninja 250 & his estimate is given at a Whooping 2.3 Lakh's!

      The front portion of the bike seems to be heavily damaged, but the insurance quote also has added the rear disk plates / tail portion to be changed.
      1. Is there an option where we can choose not to change certain parts through insurance (those which are added, but has not been damaged> ?
      2. Is there anything with Oriental that allows 100% insurance coverage on plastics?

        A primary estimate contains any and all elements that might need change. That is never the actual cost of repairs. Service centre tries to put in as many parts as possible in the estimate because any elements not mentioned in the estimate need to be separately approved and become a major issue of contention.

          'Service' manual is available on the web Bipr15. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.

            It is available in case of renewal also.
            I recently got my bike insured by oriental and i got a zero depreciation as well.
            My first insurance was wby reliance.

              Recommended oil Grade is 20W50

              Don't use 20W40, Thre are a lot of barnd mineral oils are available in 20W50 like Motul 3100. If it is semi synthetic or full synthetic it is ok to use 15W50. It is hard to find 20W50 oils in ssynthetic and fsynthetic. Motul 7100 is available 20W50, it is a single ester full synthetic oil.

              Ninja spares are extremely pricey. Even a headlamp bulb will cost around 2k. But don't worry, ninja is a high quality bike. You won't need any spares unless you met with an accident. Regularly servicesd spares like oil filter are resonably priced.

                Guys thanks for all the helpful answers i really appreciate it couldn't find any mineral oil for 20w50 it would be great if somebody give me a link from ebay so that i can order one from ebay good engine oil is not available here guys that's bad luck

                  Once my R15 got an estimate of 88k after a bad accident. After repair the total cost was 16k (I paid 5k, insurance paid 11k). That is because they will normally put all the damaged parts and all other parts that are prone to damage in an accident like frame, forks etc even if it is not damaged visually. If they don't put a part in an estimate for insurance and if they find it damaged later and change it the insurance people won't pay for that parts. So they will put almost all parts but will only change the damaged parts. So the actual cost will be far lesser from an estimated cost

                      Problem

                      guys, I had a problem today with the ninja.
                      I was on a long ride and was doing a 100-120km/h
                      Suddenly the bike stopped and the red light(oil) was on.
                      Didn't know what to do. The Engine just cut off suddenly and I halted the bike for a moment.
                      And after a while I started the bike and got it home slowly.
                      What do u think is the problem? I checked the oil level and everything is perfectly fine?
                      I had my first service yesterday and just after the first service I got a problem.
                      Any idea?

                        Your bike seems to be having a problem with your "FUEL INJECTOR" hence the red light with FI written on it, so get your injectors checked at the local service centre for clogging.

                        I gun the throttle, the motorbike wails, the forks heave up, the revs climb, my view blurs, air gushes in my lid, muscles tighten, street lights streak. Just another day at work...

                          Hey,
                          I don't think there is a problem with the fuel injector because the FI light did not turn on. It was the oil light which was on. the bike just stopped all of a sudden from no where.

                            Explanation

                            Let me explain
                            I was doing about 100-120km/h and suddenly my throttle response just died or in other words my speed started reducing instantly and the engine eventually turned of and then I turned off the ignition key. Waited for a while and then started the Engine again and it started. What I Noticed was that during the reduction in speed the Oil light just popped up.

                            After I turned on the engine the oil light was still on for a few seconds and then went off.
                            I have no idea what the problem is. Since i stay like very far away from the service center,Its difficult for me to get it checked. So if its some serious issue then I won't mind going to the SC. Thank you guys.

                              The engine oil lamp comes ON if there is a drop in the engine oil pressure. Best to get it checked at the service center mate. Don't take a chance. Worst case, the oil pump may be giving issues, have it checked and get it replaced under warranty if appl. at the service center.

                              Yes, the zero dep top up cover helps in this case. See my link in my previous post for more info.

                              AFAIK, you cannot avail for zero dep cover after renewal process is complete (pro rata not possible). It has to be opted for during renewal of the policy.

                                Headlight bulb costs 900 bucks and not 2k. The alternative is to use bulb manufactured by Wruth. It has same specifications and cost around 200 bucks
