But are you saying that you've been notified its again risen by 11k ? so this makes is around 20K in 6moths?

I wanted something sporty this time. Something to challenge myself with. Started googling and was veering towards the Honda CBR 250r. The price was great for a 250cc. Went 10 times to the Honda showroom with the intention of booking one, but everytime I went I came back without booking since I felt that something was not right. It wasnt really appealing much to me. I took a test ride but still wasnt satisfied.

I decided that very day that I would buy the Ninja 250. I had some arguments with my wife since she felt that spending so much on a bike is spending too much. I tried to rationalise with myself but to no avail. I spoke to my parents and they rebuked me for a) thinking of buying a bike and b) thinking of buying a big sports bike at that price

After weeks of trying to forget my dream, I realised that I was not able to do so. I started visiting you tube and various websites every day after work for seeing videos and pictures off the Ninja.

I am absolutely loving the rides and the feel. I feel I have a great exclusive machine which is the best in class. I am loving my life now. I have achieved my dream.
          Congratulations!!

Your story sounds so similar to mine.....http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...tml#post827555

I was on a 400 km ride when this happened, so all in all during the ride it happened for four times. Will go to the SVC on sat and figure it out. Meanwhile plz keep posted if you guys had any luck.

          • Problems

A few problems with my NINJA
First the roller sensor is gone now and its been days since the Service guy ordered for one.
The next problem is kind of complicated I think. Ok here it is,

When the bike is Idle in first gear and the side stand is up, During this point when you try to start the bike without using the clutch it isn't suppose to be starting. But my bike unfortunately starts and it gives a bump(jerk). Any idea why that's happening?

And finally, My gear shifts are too hard and make gives me a creepy sound every time I change gears. That's it guys. Any ideas and solutions?!

            Good day

Ride over 120km/hr and the engine just shuts down itself. Upon further inspection, i found out that even on neutral while revving the bike over 10k rpm, the engine shuts down. I havent yet reported it at svc. The sensor is probably the Lean angle/roll over sensor which might be giving wrong signal to the ECU which eventually cuts down the fuel supply.

Seems like particular batch is having the issue.

                Any other thoughts?
Hey, Yep you're right. I got it checked at the service station. The problem is with the roller sensor. A couple of ninja owners are facing with this problem. The service guys are yet to receive the sensor. They told me they'll call me once the sensor has arrived.
One of my friend a ninja owner recommended me to Re-map the ECU software.
As you said I feel its just a particular batch.

Your clutch cable/ the clutch return spring is loose i think... Get it checked that should solve the problem.

                  Cheers,

If it is your first service you need to change the oil filter too, then you need 1.6 L. Otherwise 1.3 L . You need to buy two 1 L bottles. Keep the unused oil with you so that you can top up with it if required after some time.

I think aftermarket airfilters alone won't make any significant increase in power. You will get a slight increase in low end torque and some sound but not worth the price in my opinion. See the aditya's comment about it posted some pages back, he used it in the past and changed back to stock filter.

As of the motul oil is concerned you will need two bottles which is two liters as the ninja may need 1.7liters oil. So there you go with the Oil part.
And about the K and N filter. The K and N I feel is useless for the ninja. It does not increase the horsepower in any way and is totally out of my mind. A regularly cleaned stock filter is way more enough for the ninja.

I felt the same way but later people told me they suffered with this problem too.
But at chennai the guys at the service station are very quick at identifying the problems so its always easy. Let me know when you've changed the sensor. Good day buddy.
