Yeah bro that's right. But the bike's totally messed up. Both the side shield is very badlyOriginally posted by trustvishwas View PostGood to see that you are ok. Repairing/replacing bike is always easier and cheaper than repairing / replacing bones.
damaged and both the indicators are gone. Silencer's got like a whole lot of scratches.
Will post the pictures soon.
Yep bro. Thanks for the concern.Originally posted by Mithungo View PostOh man! Get well soon mate.
I know but these oriental insurance guys are so annoying. when I called them up and told them about the whole thing they told me they won't cover all the plastic parts and the indicators. Might only get the muffler and the silencer repaired.Originally posted by maheshkmr View PostSad news mate. Glad to know that you are ok. btw, how it happened and what happend to you and your bike?

1. Any insurance has to cover plastic or other parts. Compensation may be only 50% but there is no chance of them covering it.
2.The fairing seems to be scratched and not broken. If not cracked, you can get it repainted. Black is the simplest colour to match.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Any cheapest way of fixing all these problems? I also feel that the handle bar is bent.

Seems you had not installed the side crash bobbins... anyways if i am correct side panel costs around 13k and insurance guys will have to cover 50% of the cost for the plastic parts.. if they continue to annoy you then politely offer them a consumer court action.. that should help you out...Originally posted by rkum4881 View PostOn the left side the fairing is broken. and also if you could see the muffler and the silencer has also been damaged badly.

The exhaust you should be able to redo it and adjust the bent metals without opting for a fresh one... The silver parts can be chrome plated.. and the black part can be repainted with heat proof black colour coating... fairing is a major concern though..

Hey! That was very useful over there bro. yeah I am really worried about the side fairings. Guess what? My frame sliders are coming in a couple of days. Lol right after my crash I get the frame sliders. What about the indicators? And also one of the side view mirrors are gone.!Originally posted by shv18 View PostSeems you had not installed the side crash bobbins... anyways if i am correct side panel costs around 13k and insurance guys will have to cover 50% of the cost for the plastic parts.. if they continue to annoy you then politely offer them a consumer court action.. that should help you out...

Well that is 1500 per indicator and 15k for the front fairing ( I think same cost for each side as well).Originally posted by rkum4881 View PostHey! Sorry to hear about the crash but happy that you are safe.
As for the damage, it is minor IMO too.
If you are from Hyderabad, come with me to my painter-he'll make the bike as good as new for less than a couple of thousands.
As mentioned above, the chrome cover can be repaired&you need to replace the indicators.

Woow! That's way more than I expected.Originally posted by Mithungo View PostWell that is 1500 per indicator and 15k for the front fairing ( I think same cost for each side as well).
Hey bro, Thanks for the concern. Unfortunately I live in chennai. I've still not left the bike at the pbk. Will leave it on monday and get an estimate and see how much it cost. If the insurance covers 50% then it'll be good. Else It'll be a tough time!Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostSorry to hear about the crash but happy that you are safe.

It looks like there is no major damage to your bike as you said apart from some cosmetic damages. You shoul take your bike to the pbk to find out any damages happened to the forks, rims, dics, frame, tank etc. If they all are okay, you are lucky and the fairings can be repaired even if they are broken. fiber repair centers can do that. If your bike is under 6 months old, I think you may get upto 90% for plastics. Check it out with insurance or pbk guys. Anyway you should replace the broken indicators and mirrors and you will get 100% for the metal parts like muffler, so I think claiming insurance is the good way because you will get money for replacements and fairing repair.Originally posted by rkum4881 View PostWoow! One of my Ninja frnd told me that the indicators of Suzuki GS150 fits perfectly and no modification of any sort required .. so you can go for it.
as i believe the indicator won't affect any aesthetic or the performance of bike .. you can take them , BTW GS150 indicators costs less than 200/-
make sure next time when time comes for insurence renewal opt for 100% claim insurance which pays even for plastic 100%

AFA indicators are concerned, Caliber's are a straight fit-read the post by psr long back.
What I'm saying about the fairing damages is: If they are not cracked, a paint job should do it instead of replacing at PBK. Black is the easiest color to do up, moreover I think Ninja's black is non-metallic, which makes it all the more simple. A coat of paint topped up with a clear coat (lacquer) spray will make the fairing look new again!

None of the customer service staff can talk proper English. Very pathetic! I heard reliance have some good motorcycle insurance policy. Should opt for it next time
Yea bro just waiting for that, Fingers crossed. I am just hoping that there are NO internal damages to the bike. And if there are then it would cost me a hell lot of money.Originally posted by maheshkmr View PostIt looks like there is no major damage to your bike as you said apart from some cosmetic damages. And as of the fairings are concerned I am very sure that the pbk will have me to change the front fairing because on the right side of the front fairing , one bit of it has already come off. And if he wants me to change the side fairing too then I am going to order a full 11 pieces of all the fairings from ebay and get it shipped to my bro's place and he will get it when he's coming in here this sept. And a few more accessories which would do good. All these keeping in mind if the insurance will not work up to what I had expected.
