Buddy, I also recently purchased a used Ninja from Bhubaneshwar(Orissa), and got it to Lucknow (U.P)

I managed to get the bike transferred in my name at a bhubaneshwar address itself, no bribes to the RTO agents, I just had an acquaintance in Bhubaneshwar & mentioned his address as my local address in there(didnt even submit any address proof

). I have got the RC & have in mind if police stops me I will say i am here in Lucknow for a month only, since i have the complete papers, they wont have a valid reason to bother me......

. Though this is not ideal, since i will be using the bike in Lucknow mostly.

For Mumbai, things can be different with police & RTO, hence decide wisely if this method can work for you.

Octroi & Road tax are ok, but the 5000 is too much......at max u can pay him 2000, not more.

Its indeed worth it! Ninja is class apart, from performance to looks, and then its exclusive too. Just bear in mind, its easy to buy it than to maintain, parts are extremely costly for Ninja.

However, parts are only an ache if you manage to crash it or ride extremely insanely, without proper maintenance.

I carry my own oil can and they change it without any charges. So those charges are not reflected in bill. Air / Oil filter was not changed in this service.

Guys need some information. my chain and sprocket assembly is busted. just wanted to know whether i should go for the original one or there are some aftermarket and cheaper options available?if you know then please provide me the link to such website or shop in navi mumbai or pune.

These guys manufacture aftermarket chain for Ninja.
L.G.Balakrishnan & Bros Ltd.

They were working on sprockets but don't know whether sprockets are ready yet or not.

Thanx vishwas sir bit i saw some sprockets at the performanceracingstore.net. i wanted to know whether they are good to use on the ninja and apart from the sprockets what else do i need? I should change the chain too?

Try Wemoto.com for front and rear sprockets.. costed me 3150 including shipping and customs...

Normally chain and sprockets are changed at the same time to get better fit. However, it is not mandatory if you have cash crunch.

Could you please help me with what sprockets to choose and also i need the chain along with front and rear sprockets. and i haven't ordered anything from abroad ever. so just wanted to know that my total was 93 pounds so how much extra do i need to pay when shipping it to india??

Do you have any idea about the cost of the OEM chain? and sprockets too?if it costs nearly the same when i am shipping it from abroad then there's no reason in importing it. i was told by the PBK guys that it costs nearly 17k for the kit!!

TVM pbk guy told that now the chain and sprockets cost 10k and they have changed it in some bikes at that cost. Dont know whether he is right or wrong.

What is your odo reading? Mine is around 18k kms and the chain and sprockets are still looks like new, chain adjuster is around the halfway.

I think importing is not a good idea because of current condition of the Indian Rupee.
