Hey, My plan was that the product will be shipped to my bro's place at california and he will be coming to India this spet so I would tell him to get it. But then my only concern are the fitting and colour quality. And the side fairing is 20k and the front fairing cost me the same. That's what the pbk guy told me. So 40k in total and I would have to spend 20k (After insurance) and If I spend like 10k more I can get these fairings. So yea let's seeOriginally posted by Mithungo View PostLast edited by rkum4881; 07-31-2012, 09:55 AM.

Its a free shipping to US dude. My bro had called up these stores in China and HK and they told him that no shipping charges nor any duties and stuff. The product comes in a neatly packed box so no worries. And since my dad's working at the airport the customs won't charge any tax or import duties as you mentioned. I can get the product in here with ease but I am all concerned about the Quality and fitting. They clearly distinguish between injection mould and other brands but then you can't just trust them blindly so yeah waiting for more ideas and comments. Btw the link you gave me was for a green ninja ( Green fairing) Let me know if you get anything for black.!Originally posted by maheshkmr View PostThese two items are located in Hongkong and they won't ship to India. Some sellers are selling similiar products and they will ship to India but shipping charges will be higher and you should pay hefthy import duties. As you said if your bro is here he can bring it but I think sometimes duty will be charged if the the price is over a limit, not sure about that limit.
Better check this fairing kit, oem black color is available with windsreen. Shipping is free

But my opinion is to replace the broken fairings and repaint the scratched fairings under insurance.
Thnx man

Hey buddy. Good luck and welcome to the club. Break in period is very important so make sure you don't unleash the beast to its maximum until the breakin is over. Maintaining the bike is also a main stuff you got to be doing regularly. Good luck again.Originally posted by aeroblade View PostWhoa the thread just turned from a fantasy novel into a horror flick for me after reading all the repair expenses for the little ninja. I just got mine today and I'm on cloud 8 1/2. The 1/2 being left off as insurance.
To be frank, I was never really impressed by the looks or quality of the 250 from the Internet, magazines or even in the showroom. I had to get my own to actually sit and ponder over every line and every curve. The eminence in technological breakthrough that it so vividly radiates speaks for itself once you get to know it first hand. Trying new bikes always felt like hard coding a new set of parameters for the brain to analyze, process and execute. But with the ninja 250, "confidence" is a word that that can be thrown around with out any hesitation. I never felt like I was riding a new bike at all! It was like my mind had automatically set to default presets the moment i sat on it.
I took the bike back to my office and as soon as I hit traffic, it all made sense; spending so much money on bike with a small motor?! What exactly were we paying for?... Character! It was all about character... Every bike has it but this little Kawasaki was in a league of its own. It reeked of quality, something that I've always missed in almost all the bikes available in the market today. It is the sole reason why the 250 leaves every other bike in its segment behind. I am yet to explore a lot of aspects of the bike as its still under the break in period, but i can most confidently say,
I have made the right choice!

@rkum4881 Thanks mate
trust me... The Urge to open it up is persistent.. :P Its even more frustrating when the max I can do now is around 50-60 kms... and even rickshaws are overtaking me lol. Well I'm holding on...
I sure hope your bike gets fixed soon
As Mahesh said earlier, I'm sure the better bet would be to go with the insurance itself since this is a larger amount (The cost they quoted will be brought down considerably). The parts on-line are so over priced and of course the quality is often questionable! But yea if you can get it without duties and stuff then it might be worth looking into!

Having ridden all three it is CBR>Ninja>KTM.Originally posted by bprags View Post@all :- How is ride the quality of the Ninja when compared to KTM200/CBR250R. I am finalizing my next purchase and I need to know from Ninja owners how it performs on bad roads.
KTM I feel is the hardest here. I ride the Ninja daily on Mumbai roads (not exactly the soft kind) and never have experienced back pain or discomfort. She performed very beautifully on off road excursions and water crossings on my trip to Leh.

Bro refrain on posting something like this in an open forum especially one asks a question in an ownership thread. It will create unnecessary attention for many and will end up in the cleanliness of the ownership experience. I request you to politely understand the meaning that bikes/biking is not only raw power(which is your way of thought).Originally posted by extremerocker00KTM / CBR 250 are no match for Ninja. CBR being closest contender still is not even half way. Talking of KTM 200, its a piece of shit in front of NinjaLast edited by Binoy; 07-31-2012, 04:06 PM.sigpic...Ride Long...Ride Safe...

I personally feel that the suspension setting of Ninja is hard as compared to CBR. If you are talking about city riding, CBR is much more comfortable. . . you won't even notice the potholes that you would dodge on a Ninja.Originally posted by bprags View Post@all :- How is ride the quality of the Ninja when compared to KTM200/CBR250R. At the same time, if you love aggressive riding / cornering / high speed riding, ninja has no match in its class.
I have ridden more than 1000 km in a day without any backache on ninja.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

I think Trust Vishwas would be the right guy to ask in regards to CBR250 and Ninja 250, at the current moment he has both in his parking lot.Originally posted by bprags View Post@all :- How is ride the quality of the Ninja when compared to KTM200/CBR250R. Ninja service-bangalore
I am really disappointed with the attitude of the Khivraj motors people Bangalore. The way the bike was delivered and the way they treat their customers at the service centre.
Had to go there twice to get the chain lubrcation done on my 500kms mark.
Now I have completed 1000kms and went there for my first service.I was told to come back another day as they were full.Having phone the guy incharge later today,He dint even talk properly and did not know the approximate first service cost as well.On asked if I would get the bike back on the same day,all I got was a rude reply.
Having paid 3l+ for a bike,I think I should atleast be talked to politely.Hell people were more receptive and communicative when I used to service my fz16.
I am thinking of getting it serviced in Auto service near Banshankri.
Any inputs on that?REVVADDICT

my friend suggested to go to Banashankari auto service , he didn't face any problem there, so you can try there, and i think you need to get an appointment for the servicing.Originally posted by vijeth v View PostI am really disappointed with the attitude of the Khivraj motors people Bangalore. The way the bike was delivered and the way they treat their customers at the service centre.

Here in Pune, you don't need to take appointment for Ninja service. Only if both the bays are already working on Ninja or if technician is not present, you would need to go back.Originally posted by nagoo View Posti think you need to get an appointment for the servicing.

I went for my first service at TVM PBK, last Saturday. I had taken an appointment and they told me to be there at 9 a.m. When I reached pbk, the service person who was attending to other bikes till them immediately came to me and took my bike in. Replied that my bike would be ready by 2 o clock with polishing. 1 o clock without polishing. I opted for the first. When I reached back at around 1.15 he said he will make it fast and delivered my bike at 1.30. The bill came to Rs. 1600/- only and polishing another Rs. 500/-. In the mean time he even asked me if I wanted to test drive the pulsar 200ns. Overall a happy experience.
