for indian conditions its better to stick with stock coolant. coolant with its many additives are extremely corrosive by nature and souped up coolant will aggravate the situation. best solution is to keep the radiator clean and ride. the temp guage goes up above the half way mark but thats normal in stop and go traffic. the bike comfortably takes it. recently doing 750 kms one shot got stuck in bangalore traffic for 45 minutes towards the end of the ride. the bike just went on with the temp gauge on high. keep the coolant level normal and radiator clean.Originally posted by shv18 View PostI would recommend trying out engine ice high performance coolant. Should keep the temps down to bearable limit
.
If one does wants to use it... one will have to completely drain the stock coolant and then flush and then finally install engine ice coolant.

Not the case with engine ice.. my friends are using it in their respective Ninjas.. hence, the recommendation.Originally posted by harikeshpk View Postfor indian conditions its better to stick with stock coolant. coolant with its many additives are extremely corrosive by nature and souped up coolant will aggravate the situation. best solution is to keep the radiator clean and ride. the temp guage goes up above the half way mark but thats normal in stop and go traffic. the bike comfortably takes it. recently doing 750 kms one shot got stuck in bangalore traffic for 45 minutes towards the end of the ride. the bike just went on with the temp gauge on high. keep the coolant level normal and radiator clean.

The Ninja's ride is stiff compared to the CBR, but the Duke throws you around more because it is a little smaller and a lot lighter. The main advantage the Duke has over the other two is that you can stand and ride it comfortably. The main disadvantage it has is that underbelly exhaust - you're never sure when it will scrape a speedbreaker. At least in the Ninja it is the lower end of the shock linkage, which is stronger.Originally posted by bprags View Post@all :- How is ride the quality of the Ninja when compared to KTM200/CBR250R. I am finalizing my next purchase and I need to know from Ninja owners how it performs on bad roads.

I would like to differ here. I found Ninja very easy to ride while standing. I have ridden more than 10-12 km at a stretch while standing up. You just need to readjust rvms. It was mainly to relieve boredom during my recent Rajasthan Ride.Originally posted by isodope View PostThe main advantage the Duke has over the other two is that you can stand and ride it comfortably.Never argue with an idiot. BTW, those 10-12 km were done near your home town at around 110-120 kmph because I was getting bored sitting on the bike.

I got the bike monkey LED tail lamp from USA. Cost me US $ 100 and took me around 15 mins to fix it. Bolt on fit, no mods needed. Mine is not the integrated one with turn signals (wanted it like this only) but Bike Monkey also has integrated units. Check 'em out.Originally posted by Lone_ranger View PostBTW, i want to put a led lighting system to my bike - Any suggestions as to where to get it done. or can i do it myself? Anyone done up their bikes - would appreciate a photo / email on how to go about it.
Also, want to change the tail light to a LED - any suggestions where to get it from?
CustomLED is also pretty good.
I have some imported film on the sides of the tank where the knees make contact. But recently got the 3M paint protection film on the rear tail panels to protect it from scratches (from my tail bag). This is non sticky, has no adhesive, and "sticks" by way of surface tensionOriginally posted by vijeth v View PostHas anyone used the 3m anti scratch film on their bikes?Any review of the same?.I have got a couple of scratches on the side faring because of my knee guards.
Cost me 1k for protecting both tail panels.
Yes, it is. Bajaj, KTM and Kawasaki authorized service center.Originally posted by Lone_ranger View PostAnycase, is "Auto Service" an authorized service center?
Vibhor (vkuchhal) sourced sprockets from the USA and chain from Rolon. PM him and trustvishwas for more details.Originally posted by harsha645 View Postso would like to know if anyone here has purchased chani&sprockets from US??ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Thanks,I was mainly worried about the adhesive left behind,If in any case I had to remove the film.Any idea how much it would cost if I were to get the film on the entire bike?Originally posted by n_aditya View Post

One question to you my friend:Originally posted by SlowSpeed View Postnop its been there since 2 weeks but still didnt fix ma bike .... same reason given to me
If your Service center is 250kms one side then did it make sense for you buying a Ninja?? I know people will say that Passion, dream extra, but what about such situation in which you are today??
Even if your SVC would have been very excellent and might have did it on same day service then too, travelling 250kms one side means 500kms both side just for Servicing?? What if something goes wrong and bike is not able to get to life?? Then what will you do ?? Where will you get the mechanic?? Will you trust local mechanic opening your bike??
Din't you had Honda SVC around and if yes then why not a CBR250??
I Feel good when i see a Biker with passion for such Awesome bike, But feel sad about the services Bajaj is providing.
BTW why they din't they do it same day?? Do call before going to SVC ??
