Had lost my left front indicator because of a weird accident. The original ninja ones cost 1200 bucks.so decided to use the Jive indicators.costs just 200..went to the Pbk to get it fixed.Terribly disappointed with the way they treat. The official didnt even see what the problem was and asked me to come on monday. It was just a 10 minute job.He said we have to remove the whole fairing to fix the indicator!Returned home, fixed it myself....Thank you PBK i learnt to fix it myself.

Whoa!! You just poured the heart out of many of the Baby Ninja owners here. A very comprehensive and close to heart description of what a person feels after owning one. My passion for biking was slowly dying but after I bought this one there has been no looking back. It rejuvenated the Biker in me. Lovely post and very helpful for the needy.Originally posted by aeroblade View PostWell mate, with regards to buying a used bike, I wouldn't be of much help, but since its the Ninja 250 we are talking about, I can add my two cents to to this matter in order to give you an insight as to what you will be getting into.Bajaj Pulsar 200-2008-2010

Hey Bro. after removing fairing please try to hold the bike upright position and observe the coolant level since when bike is inclined coolant level seems to be at minimum do check it.Originally posted by Lone_ranger View PostGuys.
I just stripped out the bike faring to install a cigaret lighter unit and I just noticed that the coolant level in my ninja is at the Minimum.
The bike just came in from service about a 2 weeks back from Khevraj - i think they might have missed out on checking the level of coolent ( i wonder why)
So, should i fill it up to max ( as marked) or let it be at minimum?
Would someone help me out on this.
Also, if anyone has installed a cigaret lighter unit in the bike, can you send me a pic of the location. I want to install it near the Speedometer.
Also installing a fuse box near the speedometer & planning to connecting all body lightings and fittings from there.
Anyone done any such stuff and guide me?
Thx

Hey do any of you hear a subtle grinding noise when you engage engine braking?

Look at the front brake hose carefully - notice what happens to it halfway down?Originally posted by R-series View PostHi everyone
I was searching for steel braided brake lines for the Ninja 250. I came across the one given on PlanetDSG. that was for 2600Rs. or so.
But I also noticed that the Duke 200 also has steel braided brake lines. Would you think the same brake lines would be a direct fit. I expect them to be less costly but not sure though cos I haven't asked. As far as I know they it should be just a simple replacement job (apart from draining the fluid and filling it again)
or would there be anything else required?
You can't install it in the Ninja. The other other motorcycle that has braided steel lines is the P220, but I'd advise you to just get the ones from the DSG because their length will be perfect.
If you can afford it, then go for the 93RON fuel. It is a high compression engine. Are you in a city with a lot of Shell pumps? Because as far as I know, only Shell offers that octane rating.Originally posted by koolscorp View Posthi guys plz advice which fuel would be a better option for ninja.
octave 91 or octave 93?????
octave 93 can be found here in many parts of the city easily..
advice....
Ninjas are usually delivered with the minimum amount of coolant and fuel. Welcome to the world of Bajaj. As someone else has helpfully pointed out, make sure the motorcycle is level, and top it up if needed. Less coolant = less cooling efficiency.Originally posted by Lone_ranger View PostGuys.

Finally some response to my query, thanks isodope. I didn't notice the brake lines on duke but if you've observed it already, i'll still to the DSG ones instead of taking any changes. Thanks again.Originally posted by isodope View PostLook at the front brake hose carefully - notice what happens to it halfway down?

Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Sorry I took so long to reply, have been off this thread because I've been preoccupied with work. I'll take a photo of what I'm talking about but I must warn you, it may take a while before that happens.Originally posted by R-series View PostFinally some response to my query, thanks isodope. Hi all, planning to sell my ninja 250R, its April 2010 model and I have only done 7500 (Odd) kms, registration Delhi, any takers...
Reason for selling is that I plan to upgrade to a bigger bike in future.
Some background about me and the bike: I was 32 yrs old in 2010 when I purchased this bike as I had fallen in love with its looks
As this is my first bike, I had nurtured it like my own baby, the break in method was duly followed as per the owner's manual. I did a top speed of 150 odd on the greater noida highway once and have not tried it again, as I feel its not quite safe to ride at such speeds on public roads. And lastly the colour is Kawi- green, absolutely love this colour. Interested guys/ gals can PM me.
Cheers!GuRpReEt SiNgH
