  • hi all

I also got a call from PBK this morning regarding the bracket replacement but my Ninja didn't faced any issue like shutting down at speeds above 100 KMPH, mine is a March 2011 model. So is it advisable to go for this change?
Any of the Delhi Ninja 250r owners going for this replacement this Saturday morning as I'll be there because I am facing another issue after my 3rd service done just 2 weeks back.
The issue is, there is strong shuddering in handle bar when left handle from speeds 80 to 60 KMPH and this can be felt even when the handle is grabbed. I suspect the mechanic tightened the steering head bolt unnecessarily and it is tightened with the wrong torque. Anyone else faced the same issue and what was done to rectify this?

        • Hey guys,

Do any of you guys know how much it costs for the ninja's entire front wheel brake assembly? Could you kindly provide me a break down?
A scooter crashed into my right side of my front wheel. I suspect the disc is damaged/bent since the braking is uneven now. Would like to know the cost before I head over to the showroom tomorrow.

I am from Bangalore.Yup shell premium is sometimes 85 but keeps varying with international crude oil prices. But right now Shell normal is 75.15 which I normally fill.
I guess you will see more Green on the roads on weekends.

I saw only two, one was at the parking lot in Forum mall and the other near the Mc Donalds, in madivala.

Yup got it fixed mate The PBK said I had to replace the entire front disc for 13,500 INR and there was no other way. But with the help of my friends here we took it to a good local workshop and had the disc tapped out straight... for just 100 bucks! lol. Works better than ever :P Now all that's left are minor scratches which I will have to wax it out..

Saw another greeny today in tvm, on my way to Statue... anyone from here?

Let's see. Filled 14 + 10 litres which lasted me about 1012 km, counting from one steady "low fuel" indicator to the next. That's actually 42kmpl It was a relaxed trip and I was usually cruising at 100kmph on the straights. That and cool weather so the engine was running very cool for most of the trip.

i seriously doubt the above example of ironing out the front disc of the ninja is a good idea esp since the bike is capable of doing 160 kph+ and you are mainly dependant on the front disc for slowing down/stopping.

i may be wrong but i were to do it i would claim insurance and replace the disc. we should play with the bike not with our life.

My disc was not bent that bad... it was really fractional. If it was really bent I wouldn't bother trying to do a quick fix cause it would be useless. I've actually looked it up and found out that this type of fix is actually used around the world, esp in dirt bike racing, since they are more prone to this sort of damage.

                      • Awesome. I've yet to go on a trip that long to check the FE. Usually get 27 kmpl with an average speed of 100-120 kmph on a trip. City..usually 24 kmpl average speed 40-60kmph.
