Are you reffering to rear swingarm spools? if yes it is 10 mm ...I think you bought the 8 mm one.Originally posted by koolscorp View PostPLZ Help....

They aren't available so far; try a UK site that ships to India.Originally posted by bikemanic View Postguys i need black stomp grips for my bike where can i buy them in india ?
Please get your lower steering cone set checked and greased every six months. The conditions you ride in will put a lot of stress on it (heat from radiator + shock from bad roads)Originally posted by vijeth v View PostYou can get genuine Motul oils in Autoservice(Monotype,Banashankri 2nd stage).
Guys on another note,
I have completed 5000kms in a little over 2 months.I use my bike for daily commute of which atleast 50% percent of the roads are in pathetic conditions with potholes and ditches and what not.And the roads are extremely dusty too.
Off late I am worried about the toll that these roads are taking on my bike, and if its appropriate to use a Ninja on such roads.
What extra maintenance must I take if i continue on such roads?(I do the chain lubing every 500kms or after rains and washes)
Also I switched to Motul Mineral oil on my 1st service. Now the Oil has turned pitch black.Having run 4000kms on the oil, would it be advisable to change the oil now or wait it out till the 2nd service at 6000kms.
I have also noticed a slight mileage drop of 3-4kmpl on the same roads and same riding style. Can filter clogging cause such a drop?what is the ideal interval for getting the filter cleaned? or should I follow according the manual.
Rain water evaporating from the radiator.Originally posted by narang_rulz View PostHi All,
I need some info - I took my Ninja 250 for a ride and it started pouring a lot. The roads were all filled with water and there were water puddles everywhere over which I had to ride.
Suddenly there was smoke coming out of the front area from within the consoles of the handles. I looked at the heat indicator and it was almost at Cool since i was riding at good speeds constantly.
But the smoke coming out was quite visible and i was a bit concerned so i decided to stop somewhere. For some reason i stopped at the petrol pump and switched off the bike. One of the mechanics there approached me and told me that with the water going inside there must have been a wire which would be uncovered and would have sparked off. He touched the wires and said none of them are hot so you can carry on. I waited for sometime and left. There still some smoke coming for the next 10 mins but lot lesser. The smoke then stopped and i continued riding smoothly to home.
Guys, what could be the reason for this? Do I need to be concerned?

Help Needed for Bent Alloy wheel
Hi All,
I recently noticed a slight bend on the rear alloy wheel of my Ninja. I need to know whether it can be fixed. @trustvishwas:- your help is required here. I stay in Navi Mumbai but can travel to Pune anytime as I have stayed there for the last 5 years. Can you tell me where did you get your alloy wheel fixed and the cost involved? Also,if anybody knows some place in Navi Mumbai where it can be done. It will be very helpful to me.
