  • Yes, that looks like an after market damper. I haven't got any official mail from Bajaj\Kawa for the replacement. And have no idea how it is related to roller sensor as some one mentioned above.
Probably they have identified some manufacturing defect - there have been recalls before as well for the baby right?

I am not sure, but when I reported the roller sensor problem to Bajaj, they asked me bring over the bike to install the damper kit.So I dont think the damper kit in question is the one used for better handling.Since the Roller sensor detects incline/decline of the bike in case of fall,Hence sending wrong signals to the ECU when revved above a certain RPM.
Since the roller sensor is an electro mechanical part, the damper kit may be used to prevent this.
However this is just my understanding, will update here once visit the PBK on Saturday.

Someone earlier mentioned he got the Damper kit installed,Any Inputs?

Since 300V factory line is a double easter full synthetic it will run much morethan 6500 kms. Its the best oil out there so I think it will last morethan 8k for sure. So you don't need to change the oil in between the trip. However carry some oil with you to top up if needed. Carrying spare cables, puncture repair kit, bulb and spare fuses will be a good idea. btw 6500 is a hell lot of distance, you will cover the whole country I think. What is the trip plan? Is it a saddle sore?

The minimum level is when upright. NOT when on the stand.

Please suggest what coolent i should use + where to get it from in BLR (South) preferrebally.

                Thx in advance.

                • Hi guys, I am selling some O.E. parts of my ninja to make way for more upgrades. Currently on sale are : -

                  1) Full exhaust system, including Headers, Muffler and Shield.
                  2) Stock airbox with snorkle and air filter.
                  3) Stock handlebars (once I take them off)
                  4) Stock levers (Once I take them off)

I will eventually also be selling my front and rear wheels with tires, but that will take some time.

Please send me your offers on [email protected]. I can provide you with a bill, if you need. All items are in perfect working condition, except maybe for normal wear and tear. Only selling them to finance other bigger upgrades.

I would post this in the classifieds section, but there is something wrong with it. The moment I visit the page, I get logged out.

I will also be importing a set of after market rims 3" front and 4.5" rear. This will enable you to use 120/70 front and 150/60 rear tires. This will also allow you to use the more readily available radial tires, and give you much better handling to boot. I can sell these for 25k for a set. Available in black and white.

I also go to the same one in Kirti Nagar. I did not get any notification from the PBK guys about the damper kit yet though I have my service due in October so thought about inquiring about it then. I have no such issue with the bike(timing chain) yet. So don't have anything to contribute as of now.

I will be going out on Sunday to inquire about some accessories will see if I can get some info on the Tires..

This damper kit is a bracket which holds Roll over sensor. It is located below fuel tank. In certain cases, this bracket touches roll over sensor so Kawasaki is changing brackets of all the bikes. It is a phased product recall and can be done at your next service (unless you are facing roll over sensor issues). It takes approx. 1 hour to change it.
