Kawasaki Ninja 250R - bike parts and accessories
Friends, from where do you source your bike parts and accessories other than the authorised service centers (ASC)? Unlike other Indian bikes, it is not easy to get parts for the N250 at most shops. Appreciate if riders who have had their bikes for a few years post the places from where to get the parts and how frequently does one need to change them. I have recently got a pre-owned N250 that is 4 years old and would like to know which parts need to be replaced as part of preventive maintenance. I intend to use this bike for long rides and hence would not want to encounter a break down at a place where there is no ASC.

The sc guys now have rectified the issue by changing the thermal sensor n the relay. Now the radiator fan starts to run when the temperature reaches 85 degree but now the problem is temperature gauge needle shows above off the mark even after the radiator fan cools down the temp and the fan stops after cooling. Usually at constant riding without frequent stops the temperature gauge needle will be fluctuating around 30 to 40 % in the meter. Now its always above 50 % but I could feel the engine heat is lesser than before and they says the meter might be at fault!

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Thanks. I will try to check that. The problem is that the bike is not starting up and the PBK service guys are not willing to come to my house to check. I am not sure if I should try and jerk start the bike in gear. Should I get the starter switch checked from a local mechanic near my house. I stay in Indirapuram, GhaziabadOriginally posted by rugved View Postit might be moisture in the starter switch ? or related cabling contacts.

Dont go for locals. Try jerk start in gear and if it starts n runs fine, get the bike to sc and make checked it out!Originally posted by TorqueMaster View PostThanks. I will try to check that. Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
As nima said its for emergency purposes not to be done usually. I was just push starting my ninjette for two three days as I had to replace it with a new battery. My bikes battery lasted oly for two years upon good maintenance!Originally posted by TorqueMaster View PostThanks. So push starting a fuel injected bike is not a problem?

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Thanks Mithungo.
I need to replace my high beam. My low beam had gone kaput, so switched it with the stock high beam. Been contemplating of the Philips Xtreme Vision H4. Any feedback on these? They cost about Rs.1300 a pair. If I get the ones supplied at the service center, would it cost me more? Appreciate any pointers.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
I use the extreme vision myself.. It is better than stock. The stock ones are 1500 bucks per piece I guess.Originally posted by A-mod View PostThanks Mithungo.

P.S: The dealer for extreme vision is near the Tunga paradise hotel, Andheri East . I guess you will get a 10% discount on the MRP if you buy from them.
