Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Hi maraque,
Thanks for pointing me to Millivision. I will check with these folks too for PSD. Got a quote of 8.1K for both the front and rear tires for Michelin Pilot Street from Madhu's tyres on JC road. I guess that the Pilot Street is last year's stock as the 2014 model is Pilot Street 2 which is not available at the various shops that I have checked on JC road.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Spoke to Millivision yesterday who confirmed that they have PSD in stock. Cost 4.5K - front and 5.5K - rear totaling to 10K for the pair. I will check if the stock available is from the 2014 lot this week end. Thanks again @maraque for pointing me to this shop.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
They will do the fitting and balancing as well?
P.S: There have been news of duplicates floating around - since non ISI tyres were banned 2 years ago. So either Pirelli must have started local production or the ban must have been revoked.Hakuna Matata

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Wow, the prices have really jumped since the two years I bought me some Pirellis from that exact shop. They were 6.5K then and I had to get them fitted outside since they didn't have the facilities.
Anyway, good luck with your purchase, and hopefully they are the real deal and not a knock-off.
And you're welcome, Mr. BlrGuy.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Guys,
I am posting after a long time. Have some questions
1. Changed to Motul 300V 4T Factory Line 15W50 about 8 months ago and I have clocked less than 1000 kilometers since then. Should I consider changing the oil as it is 8 months old?
I paid about 1120 per liter and I do not want it to go down the drain
2. I use the bike in Bangalore and HAL road has some nasty potholes and one of them had gotten my front rim bent. Went through the posts and found that it costs about 23k.
can you guys suggest some other options?
Thanks,
Yogi

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
1. Since the Kms clocked are not much, i think you should not replace it.. continue for another 3-4k kms or few months more , then go for a change.Originally posted by prime_yogi View PostGuys,

2. 23k for the rim is the old price , when i got it changed, it cost me 26k out of that 23k i got from insurance company.. if the damage is not too great , you can get it heat treated and get it repaired.. that should be around 3k or so.RIP Marco

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
The rim on my bike had bent too. Although, it was the rear one but I got it heat treated and cost me only about 1200 odd two years back. But I haven't faced any problem yet and would suggest you to opt for the same.Originally posted by prime_yogi View PostThanks, I was worried about the oil as it has been 8-9 months old and used sparingly

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
@vkuchhal
where can I get the heat treatment done in Bangalore.
Bangalore roads are so bad, guess I will have to keep visiting the heat treatment shop. I feel like I am just murdering my bike by riding it through these roadsLast edited by prime_yogi; 07-03-2014, 04:07 PM.
