Guys i am planning to buy a used Ninja250r. But when i sit on it my knee is little above the tank lines and that is too uncomfortable , so all i wanted to ask is , is there any solution to it. I have also heard about aftermarket fully adjustable rearsets but i dont know about it properly.. if there is any chance so that my knee comes little down. So i shall go ahead with the buy..

Talking of used Ninjas, do they really hold their values over time? I was looking through the classified ads and 3 yr old ones were quoted at 90 % of on road prices of new one.

What would be a good price for May 2011 and 8500kms run bike. Any way to verify the mileage?
Better late by 30 minutes than early by 30 years.

Most likely you might be close to 6 feet or above, cos that's the 1st thing I noticed on the ninja. I had the R15 prior to that and didn't have any problem.

You're quite lucky I've done bit or research on this already

So yes you can use fully adjustable rear sets. Chinese or one from Thailand might cost you close to 8-10K and good ones from Uk/US might be around 20K. But they are worth it.

2nd option which I took, Yoshimura rearset brackets. They have 2 definite positions where you can set the original footpeg bracket. If you move -56 pages back you might find few pics of it. Cos is around 5-6K. Got it from US, amazing fit and finish, no issues what so ever. Aluminium - so no significant weight different. Kind of plug and play

3rd option, which I recently came to know are adjustable foot pegs. Check out the link below:
Shinobi Black Adjustable Front Footpegs 40mm for Kawasaki Ninja 250R 08 11 12 | eBay

They can be set 1 inch forward/back/up/down , actually in all 360 degrees of plane depending upon you're requirement.

So choose you're option and enjoy
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Yup.. they do hold their price...but I would suggest you to get one from a known and responsible biker.. They are known to love and pamper their bikes... I bought a used stock bike with 50k on odo and it is a delight..!!

You're most welcome dude. If you're more inclined towards cornering or track riding let me know, I'm actually planning to hit the track by August this year. So planning for few other accessories for the same.
And if you are close to 6 feet tall, you and I might share similar experiences

Time for engine oil change on my Ninja. I have run 9k + kms and have been using the dtsi oil upto now...
Planning to change to Motul 5100 15W50. Iam not a track junkie, hence this choice.
Saw 300v 15w50 in performance racing store
and 5100 15w50. Which one should I go for?

And what coolant do I use? The level seems quite low
                              Any other suggestions?
                              Thanx
