Unless you want to upsize the tyres there is no point for wasting money for another brand tyres. My stock IRC tyres lasted 17k for front and 15 k for rear.
After 2 track days, even with stock IRC in the front i never had any scary moments. I've scraped my foot pegs and even the feelers on the pegs at the bottom have bent a bit.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Must say that I'm more than satisfied with the levels of grip offered by the stock tyres...just one word of caution, the stock IRCs need proper inflation and a very proper warm up for them to start giving the levels of feedback and grip which you would normally expect from a tyre on the race track.
My take on this: stick to IRC and change with Pirelli when they start wearing off.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

When I changed rear tyre at around 16 k it was not fully worn either, but the grip was not good so I changed because of safety.
Anyway 20k kms on stock tyre and stock pads are amazing. Congrats
My front pad lasted till 14k, rear pad changed at 16k.

Hi Guys,
It's been two crazy weeks!
1800kms done (1st servicing within 6 days of buying the bike )
Early morning rides before going to office just to finish the run-in period
The bike is great, good road presence, yet to get used to people asking me to turn off my headlamp. The shockers were mighty stiff, got the settings changed during the servicing and its much better now.
The seat is super hard! Considering Saddlemen's Gel seat but their way too expensive.
Have changed the clutch and brake levers to "adjustable, extendable and foldable levers " titanium colord ones, they match the kawasaki decal color to the T.(will post pics later)
Also got the zero gravity double bubble smoked windscreen.
Things which I am awaiting, rascal grafiks rim strips, keiti carbon fibre gas cap cover, cramp buster throttle assist and orbital carbon fibre tank pad. Should reach me by month end.

2) Adjustable rear sets/ Riser plates
3) Adjustable brake and clutch levers

for washing the bike, you can use the below products:
ArmorAll Wash-n-Wax or Optimum No Rinse
For wax you can use Meguiars NXT Tech Wax paste
Use a good sealant such as Collinite 845 after the wax job.
Some links for you: 1 and 2
Use a good wash mitt and microfiber cloth. Anything else will damage the painted surfaces. If you can also use a clay bar then it will prepare the surface for waxing and give you the ultimate finish. The above links also have contact info on where you can source the products in India.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Thanks, but the final figure are yet to come .. might go in for a replacement for another 5k+ kms...RIP Marco
