If its a mild pop sound then nothing to worry about.Originally posted by vinbex View Postguys,i have a problem, dont know if its a problem either. when the bike is in neutral n revved till around 3-3.5k rpm and rolled off,i get this 'popping' sound.is this normal???
However never revv the bike while in neutral. It causes quite a bit of damage to the engine components. This is also mentioned in the owners manual.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Kerry told me that the O2 bung needs to be placed precisely and they wudnt be able to do it for me cuz they don't havs FI bikes in the usa to test fit it (even at an extra cost which shudnt be the case actually)Originally posted by SamArul View PostWas there any import duty involved in getting the silencers?
No duty. I bought it in person.
Does it hamper the engine in the long run?
Don't know
Did you think of installing the dynojet kit?
I installed PC5 with Autotune, Messed up with FE and smooth delivery.
Tried to tune it with the help of various forums and Laptop.
After 3 months i was not satisfied so gave it to my friend in abroad.
If i get a map for AreaP i would retry it.
Last time i started with Yoshi Map which is available in their website.
I also removed snorkel.
Did you get the bung installed here or did kerry install it for you?
Kerry did it. (It is just a nut where you can screw in your O2 sensor)
How is the performance bump?
Noticable improvement in low and mid range.
Is the 12" really loud? like blaring loud? more like a bullet silencer without the baffles type blaring loud?
Yes. You will be tired of it in some time and think "should i have bought a bit quieter" Unless you are a college guy.
Can you please post a video of the silencer
Please click here for std and quietcore videos.
First and second are quietcore.
Third video is of standard.
All are sweet sounding. We can't make the difference in loudness via youtube videos. But listen to the first video which has quiet core installed "it is not Quiet"

Thanks.
Sam
He also told me they do provide the power V map for area p... he said it boosts ur throttle response thus gives a much much better experience overall.. so i guess the map is available, you can contact them..
I think I might go for the 16" cuz i don't want to be blaring loud like the leo vince without the db killer types.. but i don't want to end up feeling how i wish it was a bit louder... so may be the 16" will fit right in between.. still need to talk to kerry regarding it..
Thanks a lot buddy.. quite insightful..

Even i am 6 feet, and am sure the rear sets would help me grip the tank better.. but my concern is that on long rides(which i tend to use the bike for).. these rear sets would lead to increased leg folding thus causing stress on long rides.. please correct me if I'm wrong.. cuz if this is not the case i might go for them.. which city are you based in, incase i could try out ur bike first hand that would give a better idea..Originally posted by R-series View PostThey sure look hot. The first thing I noticed when I first rode the 250R was that "I needed rearsets". With 6 feet height, not all bikes suit me as far as riding position is concerned. My knees used to go above the "shoulder" edges of the tank, because of which it was difficult for me to grab the tank with my knees.
So I got these. and by the way how much did the black-white levers cost you? I was looking for the adjustable ones available on planetdsg, but exploring other options.
Ordered the levers from ebay ($55 including shipping):

Yep that's true. Though I would be going to Chandigarh on the 28th April. That's around 250+Kms. So i'll come to know how much it stresses the knees. though I've used it for city riding for around 40 min. I was moving around on the bike quite a bite as I took it out for cornering, that really didn't bother my knees too much. But 250kms is a different story.Originally posted by bhushanrulz View PostEven i am 6 feet, and am sure the rear sets would help me grip the tank better.. but my concern is that on long rides(which i tend to use the bike for).. these rear sets would lead to increased leg folding thus causing stress on long rides.. please correct me if I'm wrong.. cuz if this is not the case i might go for them.. which city are you based in, incase i could try out ur bike first hand that would give a better idea..

I honestly don't mind you trying out my bike before you go for rear sets, but I'm in Delhi, if you happen to visit anytime before getting your rear sets your most welcome to try my bike
Thanks for the link, the one at planetdsg are only adjustable, folding one's would be a bonus
