  • Spares seem to be horribly sparse in mumbai
Placed the order for the front fairing 20 days back and still nothing.

Since I could not replace the fairing, went ahead with the first service at 960 kms. Used the Bajaj Dts-i Oil (as of now - will replace with Motul 3100 as soon as I complete 1600-1700).
    Total cost was 1820 Rs.

    • Hey guys, I called up race Concepts, Bangalore, today and they are selling a full exhaust for the ninjette for 22k with carbon finish... On the other hand, I can get the jardine rt5 full exhaust, aluminium, for 21k shipped, before duties, etc... Any comments? I've asked Katen at race concepts to offer me a better price, and pics... Waiting for his response now....

Firstly wet the radiator with normal water nicely ... then with a tooth brush .. soft to medium bristles and some liquid soap start brushing from top to down approach... and then clean with normal water...

Actually its the rear shock absorber strut which touches the speed bump and not the swing arm bolt.

This started since yesterday morning..hence i am worried.

One more thing i would like to ask you guys,my silencer has got few scratches here and there...any way to cover that...CF stickers???..are they heat-resistant
Ride over the speed bumps at an angle and it wont scrape the under chassis. As said by the others looks like your rear is sagging.. umm, rear of the bike.

Regarding CF stickers they can be applied on the pipe but check with the shop guy first if they are heat resistant. I have a bit of it on my bike on the rear tails and a heat gun was required to get rid of air bubbles in the sticker. I applied this vinyl to protect the tail panels from scratches since i use a tailbag.

I coined a term for it.. It's called "Doing the Buggati"

i think you didnt get me the problem i am facing, in my bike neither the swing arm bolt nor the rear shock strut are touching the bump.

lower side of my exhaust is touching to the swing-arm when i am passing over bumps which never happened to me in one and half year and 15000kms of ownership

tried a sample of CF sticker on the exhaust yesterday,it melted within an hour of riding.
i think i should now search for heat resistant stickers!!

Take the bike to PBK and get it checked mate. Sounds like the bike tipped over on to the right side or the pipe is bent hence it is scraping the swingarm.

Regarding the melting, the sticker might be very thin. Look for a thicker sheet or search for genuine CF sticker sheets which are available in the market. These are pretty expensive though.

                  • Hazard lights

with the new Moto GP season introducing red lights at the back of each bike during rain conditions (similar to F1) i like the idea and though about beating them to it.

My Ninja is less than 2 months old so never though about fiddling with electricals. Instead I setup a 9 V battery under the rear seat with the button just underneath the right thigh area.

                    Here's how it looks like

is is an old picture, like about a week old, it took me time to tidy up the wire and tapes.

Nope, its not glue, fixed with a pair of small screws and bolts used for electrical switched.

I have trouble uploading the video (because of format or maybe office network). PM me your mail id I'll send it as an attachment.
