Ah..thanksOriginally posted by niranjanvaidya View PostIt rocks due to the fuel sloshing around in the tank. It has nothing to do with the cylinder orientation and the firing sequence

It did rock for sometime though..pretty consistent rocking motion (not very pronounced).Last edited by Mithungo; 03-05-2012, 02:44 PM.Hakuna Matata

Serviced my bike once again at 25000 Kilometers..
Apart from Regular Disk Pad changes, Nothing major went onto the bill. Labour was 490 Rs Including a Wax coat, Chain Service and Regular Paid Service Fee.
The White Ninja was not bad, May look even better on the road under sunshine. It was painted with a pearlescent finish (As per xinfii's observation)

This is what he may wanted to implement..
And Yes, Black Ninja will be the "Take It Anywhere" kinda colour. Im happy i chose one!

If i were to repaint it - It would be Blue + Black.Photo Gallery[/B]

Offence taken! Had this post before but since you have asked for it here it goes.Originally posted by rajesh7 View PostThe bike the gets insane after 7000 revs and the top top end is thrilling. Like evershine said try cleaning your air filter. That'll give a noticeable increase in pick up..
Saw a white ninja at pbk on Saturday. It was superb. Not as attention grabbing as the lime green and not as dull (no offence, guys) as the black. Here are the pictures. Only had a phone camera.
Enjoy
Black Ninja is the Ninja which lives up to the real Ninja!
No others do, unless they start a stealth color.
And this what a true NInja does for your sake!
Ninja means covert. And green doesnt offer any covertness but do agree that its an object of envy thou!
A ninja (忍者?) or shinobi (忍び?) was a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan who specialized in unorthodox warfare. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, and open combat in certain situations
Choose your interest and the black ninja is ideal for doing all all the above activities.
.Had no problems so far in following people without giving away identification , infiltrating new territories, sabotaging wanna be posers on road and their character assassination
for the last 35000 kms!
It is so camouflaged that its difficult for me to spot my own ninja in a parking lot!

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I do envy your stealthy-in-the-parking-lot feature though. That's one place where less attention is better... though mine has her trusty sidekick, Xena, to scream at anyone that gets too close

. Got her three days back. My Initial impressions: (Completed ~250 kms now.)
1. It is a pain to ride under 4k RPM all the time.
Had the same problem, it will start to go away once engine gets smoother. Use the premium petrol, if not already. Makes a world of a difference.
3. Rear view mirrors could have been better..can't see much.
I guess becoz it was originally designed for wider roads
.I always feel that the mirrors are a boon on higways.
4. Idle RPM takes around a minute to settle to 1.4k RPM
Will get shorter. I feel mine's a lot shorter now compared to when I first started riding her. Others please clarify!
5. Bike rocks sideways when still - guess this is due to uneven firing of the cylinders
Never happened to me
Uploading a few pics as well
Talking about locks, has anyone usee any remote security locks on the ninja? Is it any good? If so which one is the best?Originally posted by EverShine View Postthough mine has her trusty sidekick, Xena, to scream at anyone that gets too close

I hope that helps!Originally posted by Mithungo View PostYou can add another blacky to the list as well

1. It is a pain to ride under 4k RPM all the time.
Wasn't much of a problem for me. In fact, the 4k limit might sound harsh but it's a good way to get used to a sportsbike and 33 horses. Just ensure that you don't lug the engine on the clutch and stay in the right gear, and it should all work out.
2. Ride is good - not as harsh as I had imagined. Bike is perfectly balanced - waay better that P220 and the brakes are just awesome.
P220? Is that even a comparison?
3. Rear view mirrors could have been better..can't see much.
Partially agreed. I keep them adjusted to allow me to see the smallest part of my bike's tail. Works fine. As @ronthedon also said, they're desiged for wider roads and disciplined traffic.
4. Idle RPM takes around a minute to settle to 1.4k RPM
No, it takes longer for me, and it hasn't gotten any lower after the service and run-in. And the RPM settles down linearly for me - the tacho slowly falls to the idling rpm. (I start without touching the throttle and I don't rev the engine even a little for the first 2-3 minutes)
5. Bike rocks sideways when still - guess this is due to uneven firing of the cylinders
I was worried about it as well. I'm the kind of person who sticks his ears to the bike to listen to the beat of the engine and figure out if all is well with the bike. So I noticed it. But its very very little for me and it doesn't have to do with the engine at all. Try stopping the engine and then sit still on the bike and try to notice. It'll still rock just a wee bit. That's because of the fuel in the tank.

The cylinders firing 1-2 is supposed to make some vibes. But the fact that it rocked even after it was shutdown makes means it is indeed the fuel that is causing this.
Edit: You really have to strain to notice the rocking. It is not that prominent.Hakuna Matata
