          • [QUOTE=R-series;807279]Came back from Chandigarh on Monday (30th April) approximately 245kms from my house in Delhi.

I and Vishwas did around 3600kms on Ninja with no issues at all. Refer the blog "Slow roast in Rajasthan"

I am using them. It costed me 2.8 k and 3.9 k compared to the 6k and 9 k(at pbk) of IRC front and rear respectively. About the weight, I think it is same as IRC. But the grip is way better on wet and gravels. BIke feels more planted now and the stability at high speeds are improved. Overall definitely way betterthan stock tyres.....

140/70/17 PSD is also available. Someone had wrote a positive review here about it. Search it...

the reason i am concerned about the weight is cause i don't want to loose top end by any means

Also consider the front of the ktm duke. the dimension is same as the ninja front i.e. 110/70-17". the make of the tyre is mrf and even it is soft. softer than the IRC. and for the rear pirelli sd is the way to go.

Taking into account that bajaj will be selling it... Might cost a bomb... (Same as IRC)...

An increase of 2 or 3 kg by a heavier tire won't hamper the top speed. The more grip because of large surface by a bigger tire or a stickier tire is actually reducing the top speed, but it will increase stability and breaking.

It is advised to use the same make and type tyre for both front and rear. Pirelli front tyre is available at a resonable price. So, if he is going to use the pirelli in rear he should use pirelli in front wheel too...

Why do you want to change tyres? Your existing tyres should be good for at least 6-7k more. Why waste money?
