for washing the bike, you can use the below products:

ArmorAll Wash-n-Wax or Optimum No Rinse

For wax you can use Meguiars NXT Tech Wax paste

Use a good sealant such as Collinite 845 after the wax job.

Some links for you: 1 and 2

Use a good wash mitt and microfiber cloth. Anything else will damage the painted surfaces. If you can also use a clay bar then it will prepare the surface for waxing and give you the ultimate finish. The above links also have contact info on where you can source the products in India.
    Thanks Buddy

      • Small precautionary work

Its been 24x7 on my mind as what can be done to avoid scratches arising from the rubbing of the knee guard on tank sides ... and this is what i did ... matte taped on to the sides .... looks good as well ...

          • I have a query to gurus on the warranty on Ninja.

The service interval is 1k, 6k, 12k... (Or every 3 months I guess)

Will I stand to lose my warranty if I do the second service at around 4.5k? and then come around and do the 3rd service 6k kms after that?

An update on spare prices as well: The front fairing now costs ~15k , Headlight ~9k and Headlight Bracket ~9k.

You will not lose your warranty if you do extra services... Remember, every service is a paid service, so you are only benefiting the dealer... Good luck...

                  More details please
Will it be possible to peel it off at a later time? Would love if this was so because I can prevent saddle bags from scratching the paint at the back.

Also can you give details about the shop in Vashi?

psych0hans I meant doing my service at ~4k kms and then doing it at ~10k kms instead of 6k and 12k. In effect I will be servicing 2k kms earlier than every service interval mentioned.

Currently I am at 2.3k and I will be in Leh when I cross 6k..

I was hoping I could service the bike at Chandigarh midway - but that will mean I will be at around 4 - 4.5k on the odo. I can then come back to Mumbai with ~8k on the odo and service as soon as possible again.

Take out the bulb and show it to any automobile store, they will give you a suitable replacement bulb. About 1.2 years ago front right indicator bulb of my ninja went kaput. I showed it to a local store and bought a bulb similiar to the stock, costed me just Rs 12. It looks and functions exactly same as the stock bulb and there is absolutely no difference in light color or power. Still using it...
