+1 to what Vishwas has mentioned.

I guess you are riding with your heel of the shoe "locked" to the footpeg. Always ride with the balls of your feet on the pegs. It will give you better feedback and help in gripping the tank better too.

Scraping your foot can lead to a fall and injure you so please be careful. Read up on motorcycle riding techniques - there is a thread here on xBhp that recommends some books. Only if you can see thru the remainder of the turn should you lean in and go for the turn, else you might have to brake mid corner to avoid some moron or animal and this could lead to a crash.

    • The height and position of the foot pegs is what prompted me to go for the rear sets within couple of months of the purchase

BTW, I don't know how many of you ever tried or have been stunting on the N250R, but I tried it this weekend and I really had trouble picking up the front wheel, as it doesn't have much torque in the lower RPM. Increasing the RPM above 7-8K really scares the hell out of me to pop the clutch.

But stoppie was a sweet piece of cake. I had tried these on the R15 and it was easy on that because of the smaller wheelbase, but I would say picking the rear wheel is equally easy on the Ninja 250. I love it more on this bike as its larger and gives you a bigger bike feel when it's on one wheel than when it's on 2

Thanks for that Jeofpereira! (I will thank you again once I post the pics)

Pretty reasonable price. The ones on the internet are for around 20K or so. These ones are way cheaper
Just got them delivered yesterday and working on installation now.
Send me a PM if your interested, i'll forward you the contact details I got from Jeofpereira.

Haha, yeah, I was told so on another site as well... Ahh well, I still had fun... And I'll definitely be more careful about it in the future... Planning on buying x-race clip ons and rear sets as soon as finances become better...

Mate, Did you had any luck with PCV after installing the Exhaust.
Did the yoshi map go well ?.
            What is your FE now.
            I got 13 kmpl.

But after removing the PCV and installing the snorkel back, it returned to 25 kmpl again.

All this time AreaP was/is on.

Hey dude, My system is working just fine... I didn't remove the snorkel though, and I'm using the stock air filter/air box. Using the full yoshimura map without baffle. No issues till now... My idle speed had dropped drastically, so I was having issues with the bike shutting off, but it seems to be ok now that I have adjusted the idle... The ideal situation for us would be to tune our bikes on a dyno, but that's not possible, considering non availability of infrastructure.

                  • Mods Done so far on the 2010 Ninja 250r (Vacation, Goa 2012)

Hi Guys attaching a few snaps of the mods done to the bike so far. Installed a carbon-fibre simota slip on exhaust. Also installed the Tail-Tidy fender eliminator kit (for summer use only. I went over a small puddle of water and saw the results!)
Removed also the sad looking front-mounted number plate bracket.
No snaps of 2 things only. Bought an R-jays rear paddock stand and also using a Simota stock replacement mesh air-filter. forgot to click snaps of both of these!!
Next vacation i'll get a Power Commander and some more mods done.
Hope these snaps are informative enough.
R-series i got the Gold colored rearsets as i felt they look way better on black!!

Wow! nice...the design does look cooler and they stand out more than the black ones. but I felt the gold ones would be too loud as I wanted to keep the bike simple.

My knees used to go above the "shoulder" edges of the tank, because of which it was difficult for me to grab the tank with my knees.
So I got these. and by the way how much did the black-white levers cost you? I was looking for the adjustable ones available on planetdsg, but exploring other options.
Trying asking the same Bangalore contact if he still has some in stock.
I got Gold and black Adjustable / Collapsible levers from him as well!!

                          • Now these days it takes over 5 minutes to settle the idle rpm to around 1400 after a cold start even in this summer. Eve after a ride if the bike is off for morethan half hour, if i start the bike then the rpm will shoot to 2.5 k and wiill take morethan 5 minutes to become normal idle.

                            Anyone faced similar issue?

Another issues I am facing are....paint(mat black) chipping off from the front left fork, side stand switch is sometimes malfunctioning (some time it refuses to start when transmission is in gear, side stand is up and clutch pulled) and a weird noise (something like worn bearing noise) coming from the front wheel I guess....highly evident in 4 th gear doing 60 kmph.

If the bike is not moving or it is stationary I can't change to 2nd gear onwards, can do neutral to 1st and vice versa but not to 2+ no matter how hard I try. Can anyone shed some lights about the problems I am facing. Recently I visited pbk to rectify the weired noise issue but they did nothing and said the bike is ok. It is really annoying ...

I am hoping to sort them out in the 4 ths service which will due in a week. Bike is 1.7 years old and still under warranty. Last oil changed (dtsi 10000) about 2k kms ago.
