                • Any one changed the filter to K&N? Any idea whether tuning/jetting is required???
                  Planning to fit it today.

                  • ^^ So long as I remember, the Ninja sold here is the Fi version, so question of jetting doesn't surface. Tuning of the AFR using a FID is required

Q: Is the Ninja Fi open or closed loop?

                    • ^^ i think closed.. but a closer look at the service manual would confirm that.

How much Kms have you done on your bike? Even i wanted to do the same (K&N air filter); do share your experiences after you are through with the change. Also let us know the cost such a change.

All items look good but the armour quality is pathetic and you are buying gear for safety and not for looks.

I would suggest that you should not make the same mistake I did. I tried to save money and buy cheap material. Within a month of so, I found out that the material is useless in case of crash so am now doing a step by step shopping.Motorcycle boots are extremely cheap in US/UK. If you have someone coming down, please buy them there. Astar SMX5 water proof shoes cost Rs.25k+ here in Pune but cost 10k in US. I bought AXO Primato II shoes @ 144 USD.
i did buy a jacket ,does exactly what you have mentioned ...loooks nice but have doubts about the armour...especially the shoulder ones ...they just keep slipping to the back of the shoulders....i had bought size XLl...got it exchanged to size L.....STILL THE ISSUE PERSISTS.....there is too much of room inside for the armour to jump around. any suggestions ? wuz thinking of trying a Medium size but i guess it will be too tight for me ....

By the way .....still havent got my permanent registration done .apparently the month n year of manufacture does not match with the codes (9 and 10th digits of the chassis no ) the code suggests jan as the month of manufacture but the sales certificate says its april .....Did any one have to pay double octroi ,like ppl who have got their bikes from poona but have registered them outside of poona ....i got temp registration from poona n had to pay the octroi but since im gonna be registering it outside of poona i gotta pay octroi all over again at the place where i will be registering it !!!

For the love of riding please do not buy jackets and safety stuff from ProBiker.
The armour you speak of which keeps jumping around in the jacket, is no armour at all. Its cardboard.
Return the jacket if possible and buy a branded jacket..aStar/joe rocket/frank thomas/ et all

Ideally speaking, if you are having temporary registration (CRTM), you need not pay octroi for Pune because obviously it is not intended for use/sale in Pune. The problem is the PBK Pune gets billed by Bajaj and all the bikes are delivered to Pune. While the truck comes in, octroi gets paid on all the bikes.

I register all my vehicles out of Pune city limits but for Ninja I had to make an exception because I desperately wanted to buy this bike.

However, if you have time, patience, tenacity for follow up, you can put up an octroi refund application with PMC and you will get its refund in next 6-9 months. (Provided PBK provides you copies of octroi receipts etc.)
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.
