Now comes the best part:

When i was putting on the cowl yesterday evening, i realised that:
1) the rubber dampners have been wrongly fitted, front ones are put at the rear and rear ones are fitted at the front, disbalancing the cowl.
2) While fitting the cowl or a rear seat we are supposed to fit the rear portion first and then if properly fitted the front portion would fit automatically with a click. So the rear went in properly, no problems (its easier that fitting the rear seat), BUT WHEN I TRIED PUSHING THE FRONT PORTION IN I FOUND OUT THAT IT WILL NOT FIT, THERE IS NO CLICK, NOTHING

I removed the entire cowl and turned it upside down, the front clamp (attached to cowl with 2 screws) was wrongly attached to the cowl and as a result the portion that goes into the lock was not aligned with the lock. I removed the screws (with my fingers only; as they were not tightened properly)
, refitted the clamp so that it locks now tightened the crews and BINGO COWL WORKS AMAZINGLY WELL!!!

NO PLAY NOTHING; IT FIXES SO PROPERLY THAT EVEN THE pbk GUYS WOULD BE SHOCKED!

My last 20 days of experience with a Japanese bike with Indian distributers and service men is that please do take these Japs seriously; will they ever make and sell an Original Kawasaki Cowl if it does not fit properly, i guess no.
So my advice is to go ahead and do spend your 4- 5 thou for a seat cowl, it does transforms the look of the bike, here are few pics; NJOY

) while fitting had wrongly put those first. so i know it.
Sitting astride a bike that so effortlessly pulls away from the rest of the pack and yet clamping down on that almost uncontrollable urge to open her up ....arrghh!
I caught myself "cheating" a couple of times - when I saw the tach touch around 6K rpm momentarily and immediately cut back - but I'm certain that the people in the vehicles around me saw my big fat grin through my full-face lid!
