        • Hi guys..

I feel a very minor metal vibrations like sound around 10K rpm and above in lower gears. At higher gears its not audible due to high speeds.
Is it ok or shall I be worried?

I believe Vishwas has had this exact same sound coming out of his front left fairing. From the vicinity of his left RVM.
I too have developed this issue. I remember he telling me tht it took him a while to find the culprit but once found it was peanuts to fix it.

                  • If the sound comes around 5-6k rpm and vanishes above 7-8k, then the rubber bushings holding your mirrors have cracked. Get them checked and changed if necessary.

Yep...thats exactly what happens to mine. I aint sure if its not to be heard at higher RPMS cause it gets inaudible. I am thinking it just cant be heard at higher RPMs cause everything else gets so loud.
I guess a crack in rubber bushings may result in getting the sound started at different RPM for different people.

                      • Basically, the engine vibration frequency matches with some other frequency and the sound starts, as soon as you slow down / speed up, the noise stops.

It is not a question of not being able to hear it at higher speed.

                        • Any specific touring experiences on this bike? How comfy is it on a 500km run with a pillion? Or is the baby Ninja limited to the city? Any information on aftermarket upgrades specifically for touring...like windshields, luggage etc?

For a single rider, 500 km is quite good. With a pillion - NO, NO. At least this is what you will hear from your pillion.

It is quite comfortable till 140 kmph. You can also keep on doing 160 kmph without ruining engine. Of course, it is not limited for city use.

Putting up windshields, luggage - are you kidding? Why not put up a sidecar also?

Did a trip to kerala a couple of weeks back. THats 1500kms one way. Had no issues in touring. Its comfortable riding at 120-140 for long stretches without any heating issues. But to give your "butt" some relief keep changing the riding position once in a while.

If you are taking about aftermarket windscreen, am not sure about how it would solve the normal problems like wind on the chest and helmet.

THe impact of wind hitting your chest is not much till speeds of 120 assuming you would be riding with a good jacket.
But the impact on the helmet is quite bad. If you turn your head sideways, you might be decapitatated.

A tall windcreen would make the NInja look really ridiculous. A short wind screen might be of better use, thou not much, if riding at high speeds of 140 above. The best way is to crouch and ride, at such speeds, for which the existing windscreen is quite enough. So cant see much dope in getting a new windscreen

If you meant saddle bags as "Luggage" You could get cramster saddle bags or source one from abroad
