Tyres
Has anyone changed the stock tyres of their Ninja to something else?
The IRCs have performed well enough for me. But I think the front is beginning to show uneven wear. I plan to change them.
Current option is Pirelli Sport Demon, come at about 3.5K each i.e. 7K
The IRCs cost 13k

first service done
got the first service done at 900 kms. Total expense around Rs.1300/-
Also bought the ninja cover from bajaj for around Rs. 1000/- havent used it yet.
The oil and oil filter was changed and just some routine oiling of the parts. The oil drained was little dark but I couldn't find any residue ... probably most of the residue should be in the old oil filter
The bike was feeling little sluggish at even 4000 rpm post 750 kms and there were vibrations in the handlebars even at 4000 rpm post 830 kms. Both problems have been eliminated by just the oil change for now. I hope it was the old oil which was a culprit.

I dont think anyone has changed the stock IRC's yet. Bluevolt's tires are due for a change soon though IIRC.
Where are you sourcing the Sport Demon's from? They cost much more than 7k with duties and taxes AFAIK. Bridgestone Batallax are also an option.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

-Cleaning of air filter
-Usage of the Bajaj Recommended chain spray
-Posture while sitting on Ninja
-Periodic / daily checks to be done
-When can a kill switch be used?
-What would be the ideal practice to switch off the Ninja? Ignition switch / kill switch?
-How much RPM it should read after the Ninja has idled for more than 2 minutes?
-If the Idling is less / more how do you change the settings?
-If the bike is not being used for more than 15 days, how to disconnect the battery for storage?
-How to start the bike using the jump start unit (This is a separate unit which can be bought at r400 or was it for R200?)
-What is the technique for braking on Ninja?
-When not to use the front brake?
-How to check the level of Engine oil, coolant, front & rear brake oil
-How to identify which unit has failed? This has done with the number if beeps on the console with the error code on the service manual.
Some of them were more of basic in nature and most of them are covered in the Bike Manual.
I did enquire about any new higher CCs model coming from Kawasaki / KTM. They said they are looking at them.
Hyperion, TH, TV, Ameet_redefined ... add / correct me on this list.
Overall it was great to meet all the Ninja owners especially Pune & Mumbai xBHPians.Speed is nothing without CONTROL

Not sure if this should be a new thread, but Rajiv Bajaj has announced that they will be launching a higher cc Ninja by March 2011. He had not confirmed that its the 650cc.....but I guess it should be that.

The link for Ninja 650 page from the presentation that the above link displays is :
Kawasaki Ninja - Upcoming bike launches of 2010-11
(I do not understand the text though. It says a bit about the 250R though the 6 lakh price tag ensures that it is the 600+ cc)
My take is - If i were to buy a 600 cc bike, it would be a Yamaha R6 and not a Ninja.
