Could the HYD members confirm if this is true (no offence meant Mahesh). I'd like to know if these IRC's are genuine as well.

Best to go for Pirelli sport demon, Bridgestone batallax or Michelin pilot sport. IRC is a budget brand so only go for this if you have no other options.

I have the contact deatils of a michelin dealer. He imports tires in large numbers but none of them for the ninja. If there are a good number of interested folks then i can talk to him and check how much it would cost to import tires for us. I need numbers to give him an idea of how many sets are needed to arrive at the final price per set.

the 130 size irc ninja tire is also available for around 2500 . why spend so much on crappy IRCs when you can get Pirelli Sports demon for under 3800 for ninja . i have a pirelli in 110 size in my bike and its way better than any irc ive experienced .

        MICHELIN Motorcycle & Scooter tyres

Correct me if already discussed here about this tire option.

        • Thanks for the heads up... I'm planning to scout around for a 130/70 pirelli sport demon in bangalore this weekend (any recommended shops? Cherry agencies? Sai Iyengar?)... The michelin pilot road 2 looks like a great option, but does not appear to be available in the stock size... At least not as per michelin's india website. The BT45R might be a backup option. Does anyone else have first hand experiences with any of these on the ninja?

I believe the owner's manual describes this exact process

Congrats man! Welcome to the Green Team. (I am guessing Green since Aditya had a part to play in it)

But at the same time, I am afraid this is no ZXR250

Lol, thanks a lot Tenhut. Have been reading your experiences with the NInja and now the CBR, loved them both.
Once I get the Ninja and we get to know each other (the Ninja and I ), I would love to go to the CSS. Really wanna learn how to ride well.

                              • New tyres!

Asim (Killer_instinct) and I got our rear tyres changed today. Asim had gone and had checked out the shops around the JC road area beforehand and zeroed in on Sai Iyengar on Lalbagh road. It is opposite the Garuda Maruti showroom on Lalbagh road, when you come in left (and then right) from the Richmond road side.

We paid Rs. 3400 for the Pirelli Sports Demon rear tyre - rode back home, so far so good! Anyway, it is way better than my bald ex-tyre. The IRC's lasted well - took me around India and a total of 16,000 kms.

                                The front is Rs.2400...

                                Thanks Asim!
