Owners think that this is value for money so they have bought it. TBH, this bike IS value for money. CBR will be cheaper and it would certainly reflect in its performance. However, for its price point, CBR should be far superior than any other offering available.

The Kawasaki Ninja 250R and Honda CBR 250R are two different machines with different capabilities. You should read the reviews and make a decision on which bike suits your purpose. There are plenty of threads which details the tech specs of both machines. On a broader level the ninja is a 250 cc parallel twin with 33 ps peak power and the CBR is a 250 cc single cylinder with around 26 ps peak power. There might be an optional C-ABS in the CBR.

Apart from technical difference, the ninja is still an import and gets assembled in India whereas the CBR 250 will be primarily manufactured in India with some parts being imported to keep the costs down.

Apart from these two factors the others are:
                • looks: this is subjective and you should be the best judge
                • ride quality and rider satisfaction: i suppose you can test ride a ninja but for the CBR you will need to wait
Hope this helps you in making the decision, all the best

although i cant comment on behalf of all other ninja owners but i doubt anyone who has bought a ninja would regret his decision ... ofcourse going for a higher capacity bike after a ninja is a different thing altogether ...

The coolant does the job of lubrication,is an antifreeze, anti corrosive, and distributes the heat slower than normal water. This last property allows the radiator and the engine to warm up faster, but in temperate climate like ours, more than 25% coolant in radiator mix actually raises the temperature beyond normal. Just what I had learnt. your A.S.S will be able to tell you the ratios....

                    OMG... it is true...

When i last refilled it, the PBK service engineer told to use 100% of coolant without any water.....

Can any one confim on that , so that i can go back and dilute the micture if the ratio is truly 1:4. ???

                    • If you are using a coolant pre-mix like Motocool, then you don't need to add any water. If you are using the thick castrol coolant type, then you definitey need to add water.

I read all 399 pages. I found that this is what I am looking for. My heart say Ninja and mind say wait and watch. may be Ninja will reduce its price after launching cbr250. It happened with me when I bought chevy Spark and 3 days later they reduce Rs50000. same as when I bought Vista, this time i lost Rs 18000.

Bajaj cannot reduce the price of Ninja without compromising on quality/power. Hence, if you are planning to buy a Ninja, it will be better not to wait for its price to get reduced much.
