Kawasaki Ninja 250R

    hey guys! I havent contributed anything to this forum as I've been a silent xbhp fan till date but I've decided to share my experiences henceforth with fellow xbhpians! I initially wanted cbr1000rr but after couple of months of hard thinking, i decided against it. I've decided to start with a more practical bike as i'm still an amateur. So finally getting the lime green ninja tomorrow! Booked it 14 days back but am yet to collect it (auspicious season/time starting from the 11th) so i really dont think i'll be able to sleep tonight!!

    I'm a Hyderabadi...and can anyone suggest a helmet of price range upto 3k and also the store? This is going to be the pillion helmet but i will be using it for the first few days as i'll be getting the shoei xr1100 by the end of this month...

        Good God!! How much are you shelling out for the Shoei XR1100.. Its a new launch, right?

            when i ride bullet before my bullet was solid condition but i once race with a Ceilo car and my engine size. mechancic say bullet is good bike but no racing. it is good for three people and very powerful.
            one day when i become rich i but ducati and then I race with cars. not now.

              scrapped?? phew! lol, makes me look like less of an arse if it were to be released by this year end!!

              off topic...if i remember correctly, you have a 2010 cbr1000rr right?? i seriously envy you dude! i couldnt sleep for weeks and thought about it for atleast 2 months but eventually things didnt materialize (finance as i'm an nri student and my family in uk) and the honda people in hyd didnt have much clue about the product which really put me off, i guess hyd still has a long way to go when compared to mumbai, in terms of product awareness and infrastructure to deal with servicing :-(

                Even if Bajaj launches the 600 xyz motorcycle, there will be a honeymoon period where there is going to be an initial rush of people to buy and then a mere trickle of customers. The same thing happened for the 250R but at least this bike has a better chance than any of its larger (and more expensive) siblings when it comes to sell-thrus.

                India is a mass market driven by sub 150 cc machines and will continue to remain so.

                  When TH says that those plans have been scrapped, I am hoping he means those have been replaced by plans to get another much better 700+ cc inline-4

                      Hey! Congrats. Unfortunately good helmets are far, few and expensive in HYD. There is this guy in Sindhi Colony who runs an online store by the name 'On the rocks', and sells some DOT certified stuff, but compared to Bangalore or Mumbai he is mighty expensive and costs go upwards of 5 k.

                      The usual Vega, Volga, Studds are all available at Bank Street or you can also check out Ramkote and a Singular store at the Ranigunj end of Tank Bund.

                      If you are going to Blr or Mum, pick one up from there.

                          Guys lets not forget the Ninja 250r is the best 250cc bike one can buy anywhere in the world! The same cannot be said of the 650r.

                          Bajaj better be careful there...R6, Fireblade 600 and GSX-R 600 are gonna be tough competition. I for one, would go for the Suzuki, if I were to choose from among the 600cc's.

                            Kawasaki has ZX-6R for that proper supersport tag.

                            and the 600 ain't referred as Fireblade, it is sacrilege and is meant to be used on the 1000RR version only, the 600 by Honda is referred as Honda CBR 600RR

                              650R doesnt compete with these. Its a street motorcycle not a supersports.

                                Agree..but Bajaj is planning on the 650r and not the ZX6r. Sorry about referring to the CBR600 as the Fireblade. This is what happens when you keep stealing time out of your office work to visit your favorite website...my bad!
