I bought it for Yen 5250, which is like INR 2650 or so.

Any Ninja tourer interested in a small exhaust heat shield? I bought another one for myself, so I don't need it. Costs around Rs.900 (Yen 1890) or so. Useful for trips when you have saddle bags over the tail covers and want to prevent them from touching the exhaust - wish I had this during my gift a dream ride in Feb - that way my bag would not have fried!

      Buddy... I need this.

I had checked the Cramster Saddle Bags (thats all I can afford right now) they fitted fine, however it was touching the Exhaust.. and these are not fire retardant.... So you know what will happen to them

sorry for a late update about hyderabad ninja owners meet
we had a meeting on 16th may

will describe about the meet was all about in short

this was the first official meet for ninja owners in hyderabad!!!

it was organised by Mr. Neeraj Sharma (south Head for marketing, bajaj)(i think)

he discussed the about kawasaki and its product on offer to customers world wide and
also hinted the products that could foray into indian market. that may include ninja 650r, ZX6R or z1000 (any one would make it into market by june or late) and he did showed these three bikes precisely. and asked the people in the meeting about, which bike did appealed them the most (probably it was Ninja ZX6R).

later on he went asking about the accessories there would like buy now or in near future. and the accessories were the bike cover, rear paddock stand, OEM Tank pad and rear seat cover. then he showed the bike cover, the cloth of the cover was same as my cars cover. which i am using for my car. i dont know exact about the material used but its quiet soft but not as soft as cloth. and still water resistent to some level, and cover is priced around Rs900. i think its a good deal. i liked the bike cover very much.

he also told the OEM ninja tank pads are also going to come and would be available in all PBK service centres in about a week or two. those who are thinking of going for OEM pads can wait for sometime and do contact your nearest service station once for updates (again for pricing of pads its around 2k to 2.5k i think )

was a bit excited and confused at that time

and here are photos of Hyd owners meet

Again my Bad was busy posing with my bike couldn't really take some snaps for by myself

              Cheers!!!

p.s. sorry for gramatical mistakes (suffering from sore throat and head ache)
just felt a need of posting

              Hey Bal,
At least you did post. I have been planning to post, but never got myself to do it. I think the bike most guys gave a thums up to, was the Ninja 650r and not the zx6r.

The bike cover, I noticed does not breathe. I wonder how good that is? Somehow I get the feeling that whatever bike these guys come out with next, we are the primary target. At least they will not refuse the test ride this time, hopefully.

i got the bike from khivraj , Bangalore and due to the rainy season starting in, do not feel like removing the plastic, it is much more easier to shrug off water from plastic then the seat. added benefit of plastic specially on the rear seat is that , the person sitting behind keeps on sliding in front, hope you got my point.

First of all, congrats on the green ninja. Mine will be exactly 2 weeks old tomorrow and seeing your ninja's pics took me down memory lane.

Just a suggestion if you dont mind - get rid of that banian piece of cloth and buy a chamois leather / microfiber cloth to clean the bike. The best is chamois as it absorbs water (better than a sponge) and you can wipe the entire bike dry with it, without the risk of any scratches. The white cloth will definitely cause scratches and swirl marks on the paint. Guaranteed !!!

I picked up a set of 3 microfiber cloth's from Turtle (maker of Turtle Wax) and it cost me around 500 odd rupees only. The chamois cost me 200 bucks. See, its not expensive at all.

@Superlife - The bikes have plastic covers on the seats when they are delivered. My bike had it and i removed the one on the riders seat. The cover is still on the pillion seat as it gets dirty really fast. You need a mild detergent and a loofah to clean the pillion seat. Not very hard to clean but some stains are not easily erased. You have no idea what people do. They dont just press the seat to check if it is soft.

Thinking of picking up a rear cowl in a couple of months.

Jopasu systems makes some very good cleaning products. They have a brush (static i guess) which you can use to brush away dust and dirt from the vehicle BEFORE using water. It is to be used only when the vehicle is dry. Absolutely does not cause any scratches.

They also have microfiber cloth. Google them. I think they are based in Delhi. You can shop for their products on ebay.in too. I have the dry brush, microfiber cloth and few other products and they are very good in quality and clean very well. Highly recommended. Got them at their stall at the Bangalore Auto Expo.

You can also get microfiber cloth in most auto accessory shops which stock imported cleaning products.
