Query
Guys, need your opinion a situation...I'm moving to Mumbai in a weeks time and was planning to take the delivery on the Ninja before I move. Is it recommendable to immediately take the bike for a long ride (read Pune to Mumbai) or I need to spend sometime getting used to the machine?

^^ you can ride the bike to mumbai.. but just adhere to the limits, and give the bike frequent breaks like every half hour or so for ten mins. Dont shut the bike down immediately when you stop, let it idle for atleast 30 seconds, and then shut the engine. Same thing when you start to ride.

I took my bike on Pune-Kolhapur trip on the very next day that I took delivery.Originally posted by A-mod View PostGuys, need your opinion a situation...I'm moving to Mumbai in a weeks time and was planning to take the delivery on the Ninja before I move. I had some misfortune, but I am sure it was a one-off case and not related to the long trip.

My first ride (on the next day of delivery) was a 850 kms ride to Ganpatipule and back. Had only an issue with an FI light bcos of a blown fuse. But it was still rideable. If you get stuck up at any place, you call up Mr. Kiran Devekar and he would assist you anywhereOriginally posted by A-mod View PostGuys, need your opinion a situation...I'm moving to Mumbai in a weeks time and was planning to take the delivery on the Ninja before I move. . Since mumbai is only 150 kms the chances of anything going wrong with the bike are really slim. Moreover you have a probiking center in Vashi as well.
Oh, you were the not so lucky guy who got stuck in KolhapurOriginally posted by Hyperion View PostI took my bike on Pune-Kolhapur trip on the very next day that I took delivery.

. Kiran was telling me when i called him about my FI light issue. But i guess they went about the issue very professionally and send you guys from Kolhapur to fix it!!

I got K&N filter for 4800/- INR. I have also checked the price of K&N Cleaning kit (air filter cleaner + oil) and told its 995/- INR. I don't have any idea about the quantity of the oil & cleaner in the kit. In Indian condition they recommends to clean every 25000 KMOriginally posted by bluevolt View PostPicked up a K&N air filter, an OEM Kawasaki Ninja 250R tank pad and a camera mount today from a bike shop today. This information might be incorrect. When I asked about the air filter oil price alone, they said that the price will be the same as for cleaning kit and it comes cans.
