    • Guys, any idea where I can pick up the below book. Its a must read for all bikers. I know i can download it but I prefer the hard copy... not an eBook.

'Sport Riding Techniques' by Nick Ienatsch. Checked on landmark online and no joy.

      This has been answered before.

Bluevolt has an Oxford Rainex. Saw it the other day and its quality is excellent. Safe to use when the bike is hot and a worthwhile investment.

Buy it online. Search on eBay for deals on this product.

Try Amazon. Most of us, the Pune xBhpians use this book as a reference manual.

If you are taking about aftermarket windscreen, am not sure about how it would solve the normal problems like wind on the chest and helmet.

THe impact of wind hitting your chest is not much till speeds of 120 assuming you would be riding with a good jacket.
But the impact on the helmet is quite bad. If you turn your head sideways, you might be decapitatated.

A tall windcreen would make the NInja look really ridiculous. A short wind screen might be of better use, thou not much, if riding at high speeds of 140 above. The best way is to crouch and ride, at such speeds, for which the existing windscreen is quite enough. So cant see much dope in getting a new windscreen

If you meant saddle bags as "Luggage" You could get cramster saddle bags or source one from abroad

Thanks for the info JAKRAP. I did mean saddlebags. I've had friends who used the Ninja for some light touring in the US. 2006 models fitted with Ventura racks and Givi hard cases. Apparently the hard luggage is great for wet conditions. Also, seems like a rack behind the pillion rider made his/her ride more comfortable as well. I just wanted to know if there are such options available for us here in India. The tall windscreen does look like crap, but I was told they were super. All three of those Ninjas had windscreens from this vendor: http://www.mikesshields.com/

I've seen the cover bluevolt uses for his Ninja and its very good.

If you want something cheaper go for this>

            Kawasaki Ninja 250R 250 R Bike Motorcycle Cover 86-08 2 : eBay Motors (item 360261450790 end time May-13-10 20:31:10 PDT)

I am using this cover and it cost me Rs. 700, the material is very thin however is heat resistant and easy to carry.

Though I make it a point not to cover the Exhaust when its hot.

@Ram1883, THese windshields are for the previous version of kawi Ninja from 1988 to 2007. Am not sure if these would fit the current version as the styling looks different

Hard luggage is impossible to fit on the Ninja without drilling a hole in the plastics. It is better to get soft saddle and tail bags (Oxford, RJay's etc) which you can fix and remove at will. Most of them come with waterproof covers, so rains are really not a bother. Cramster bags won't fit on a sports bike, so that rules out the option. Ventura racks look ugly, IMHO. A snap on-off tail bag is better anyday. By the way, I have a Ventura tail bag, immensely easy to use and practical.

There are after market windscreens from brands like Puig which offer a higher lip, which will translate into better wind resistance when crouched on the tank. They look good too.
