On a serious note this might be happening at low RPM's due to bad fuel or improper timing. Do you hear a knocking sound from the engine? Maybe your clutch needs adjustment?

Go to the service center and have them look into it.
Thanks for the advice brother. I shall get it checked. It does look like a problem with the clutch.
Used the word 'shivering' as it was a bit more than vibrating and bit less than heavy duty trembling :P

JD bro...Since I am riding only my bike for a while, I am not in a position to compare and hence comment on the play in the clutch lever. Looks like there is a bit of a problem in it..have to get it checked though to confirm.
Regarding your other question, I didnt quite get your question - 'what the temps were being displayed?? '. Do you mean to ask if the temperature was rising too much. If so, then the answer is no.

    Thanks

    • Could this be a case of clogged fuel injectors due to impure fuel?

      • or a extremely tight chain. Check all this and report back. clutch lever play should be around 10-15mm at the most at the end of the lever.

Do Check out they Hyderabad G2G thread for some bike hungry people.

Well, Me too looking for an proper upgrade from my Xtreme. Have only two choices R15 and 250R (yep, wierd options).
Brain says R15 and heart say 250R (I would be saving solid 1.8lacs on R15 ).

Having owned R15 already and know in and out of it and pleasant experience with it leads to opt for R15, But there is always room for more and another choice of Ninja 250R which gives me more power, more excitement and more fun (obviously less mileage).

Had a thought of looking for used 250R in hyderabad..(wish JD's bike had AP's registeration)...but again a thought of new 250R. So this is the confusion....

Hope this confusion ends soon and have enough green paper to get a green bug.

The Ninja thread isnt the best place to NOT recommend a Ninja.
And it isnt the best place to ask for advice either.

Anyways, my advice would be save the 3 lakh and wait for the 650 comet.

Then pay the 3 Lakh as downpayment and get installments for the rest of the amount.

If you are not interested, then, well, go for the R15.
                The monetary difference is huge.

If the temperature is in the top 25% of the range (even if lower than the red marks), the radiator fan kicks in at a higher speed and for the first couple of times, it feels like the bike is revving without even touching accelerator.

This recently happened with me when I was riding in heavy traffic with bike's radiator clogged with mud. Please check.

What's the expected price for the GT650R? There was some info from Bike India which said they are likely to come to India by end of 2010, but nothing else since then. Have you heard from some other source?

I do understand that MT01........but i did not suggest him N250R primarly for his wrist. He had an accident 2 years back. His wrist still pains if it takes some load! tht was one of the main reason why he sold his R15.

Anyways i think we are going OT!

                          • The PS 135 part will not fit due to its rear tyre being 100/90 x 17" - the Fz16 hugger is a proven fit for the Ninja 250R, with some minor modifications.
