  • This is my fourth oil change... I meant there was an interval of 6000 kms after the last oil change.

The total mileage on my odo is nearing 13,000 kms and it shows on the rear tyre.

    • Black Ninja...

      Hi Guys,
I'm a silent member of xbhp (for quite sometime). Let me introduce myself.

      I'm a resident of chennai and currently own a 2008 Karizma-R.
I've started the process of upgrading my ride.... I took a test ride of Ninja last saturday in chennai and was mighty impressed with it. This test ride was organised for xbhp members of Chennai. I just happen to be there by chance. I met a few xbhp members, though i can remember only one name (Karthick....buddy, i forgot your Xbhp username)

Anyways, i've applied for loan with HDFC bank and will pay the initial booking amount tomorrrow. I've finalised black color (because, i want to blend in... ) I would like to get in touch with ninja owners in Chennai....

      Cheers,
      Senthil

                  • Ninja Sales Down

Looks like the Ninja sales have gone down and Bajaj seems to be in stock clearing mode.

I just got a call from PBK asking me if any of my friends/relatives would like to buy the Ninja.

The waiting period is zero now. You can get the bike if you pay the full amount.

I too got this call a few weeks back and they had brought the waiting period down to four days then (in bangalore). Looks like the excitement has fizzled out and the test rides didnt do much either (to rope in customers). I guess people are waiting for the ER6N (most of my friends tell me i was a fool and was hasty to buy the 250R, but time will tell ).

What Bajaj can do is stock accessories and goodies like slip-on's etc. But how many would buy them is still a question.

                        • this has been already told by rajiv bajaj on the very first month of launching the ninja that the waiting would be zero within 4 months, but even today the situation is yet to be pay and take at least for the green one. it will remain a premium bike like any other super bike.

the value of the ninja will be truly known only when another 250 cc bike is launched by honda / suzuki /yamaha.

till then its ninja with a price almost equal to its international price and the best seller word wide in its category.

Congrats Senthil! Hope to see you soon on the Chennai G2G's - we already have a few Ninjas amongst us and I look forward to at last having a fellow Blackie!

Many thanks to guys here some of whom like BV , TH,TW,SP,PS,JD etc etc whom I enjoyed reading the experiences.

At 47 I was lucky to get my wife and daughter to give their concurrence and wife to part finance and see my boyish and expensive indulgence come true. Had my test ride last Friday at PBK Chennai which reminded me of my old times of riding RD 350, RX 100 and my first bike BSA GT – 50 all these had the same gear config. My work horse bike was an enfield bullet. I will do a detailed write up later.

N 250 would be a different experience in power and performance. Well my aeromodelling may have to wait for a couple of months now.

So guys its official from me.
Congrats Hari! It seems that you have knocked me off the throne as the oldest Ninja rider amongst the Chennai Xbhpians! ( I'm 40 ) And to add insult to injury, another Blackie too!! Grrr!!

I do hope that you will soon join us on the offline G2G's. We get together about once a week ( check the thread ) and it's good fun. As mentioned above, we already have a few Ninjas - May their tribe increase!!

@ Both Senthil and Hari - I'll send you a PM with my number - let's hook up at the earliest and go riding!!
