Ram.
Congrats on the machine.
Thanx Rahul & am glad tooOriginally posted by bluevolt View PostCongrats Whizzkid, and I am glad they did away with the hideous black tail cover! The dial looks cool too!
Thanx. Though there is a light play when we shake it, It fits firmly provided we have to lock it perfectly.Originally posted by Merlion View PostWhizzkid, congratulations on your new toy!
The green tail with the seat cowl looks neat. Does the cowl fit snugly or is there any play or shake when you move the cowl? In most of the bikes I have seen, the seat cowl does not fit tightly to the tail.
Thanx MG. CBR 250R never impressed me in looks as well as in performance figures as the Ninja do. Moreover I wanna experience the power of Twin cylinders. To my surprise I've got an average of 32kmpl during runin (hwy + commute). Using SHELL's Super unleaded fuel from day 1 which costs 68.85 bucks here in chennaiOriginally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostCongrats whizzkid. Good to see you opting for Ninja even with CBR250R coming in a couple of months

Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostHey Congrats mate...! Gogreous looking Kwacker there. Good to see the lime green tail and not black. Would love to hear some long trips from you on this.
Sure folksOriginally posted by The Celebrity View PostCongrats once again Ram... See you for the Tri-State...

I won't forget that. Nandri.Originally posted by aargee View PostCongratulations Ram. Hope you'll never forget me who was able to read your mind even before you said
Now complete the break in ASAP & start enjoying the ride.
Here after I must talk to you very cautiously...
Thanx dude. No war again which one kills which...Originally posted by n_aditya View PostCongrats Ram. Wishing you many years of happy and safe riding with the ninja.
On a different note, it is nice to see Ninja's selling despite news that the CBR250 is going to be out soon.

Thank you sir. Will meet you soon in VelloreOriginally posted by harikeshpk View Postcongrats ram

I am looking for tailbag's for my Ninja250R. I liked the RJays tankbags and even tried riding with it for a while. Although it doesnt interfere with the riding aspect i prefer a tailbag anyday.
This is what I have in mind:
TwistedThrottle.com : Twisted Throttle Slipstream Tail Bag - BC.HTA.84.807.100
TwistedThrottle.com : Bags-Connection Rearbag motorcycle luggage system - BCK.RB4021
I want a tailbag that can be fixed securely to the rear seat and such that it doesnt tip or move while riding.
Anyone has info on where I can get them locally? (before i go ahead and order online)
Bluevolt - which tailbag do you have? do they have a slightly bigger size available? Please also share the details on how much it cost you.
On a totally different topic, see this. Will it work in our country? I have a strong feeling its not legal. Can it be detected by the the interceptor?ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

yes, the Ninja gives really surpirsing kmpl if the rev is kept around 6K-8K... i got around 40-45kmpl during the Munnar Kerala G2G since I was staying with the group and keeping the speed at 80kmph...Originally posted by whizzkid_ram View PostThanx MG. Bluevolt, any idea how much they would cost if I were to get them from Thailand? Would it be cheaper?Last edited by Hyperion; 01-21-2011, 01:56 PM.

I have the Ventura tail bag. If you find a local bag guy, it is a design easy to be replicated. But I love this bag -I had to modify the mounting base since it was too big for the Ninja seat.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostBluevolt - which tailbag do you have? do they have a slightly bigger size available? These gadgets will work in India. I have toyed with buying one of these for the last few months, but have not done so far. The gadget tracks the speed guns and not the other way around!
I am in a good mind to get the new dials from the US next month! Let me see if it is already on the spares market.Originally posted by rennycornelius View Post@whizzkid:
Congratulations !
White dials are looking way too good than the old ones.
If you are getting them for Rs.2200 a pop, they are damn cheap. Go for it!Originally posted by Hyperion View Post2200 each. I am going to get them. Pretty much worth it methinks.

Yeah, they do look good, but I feel they could have done away with the temperature gauge&replaced it with a fuel gauge, like the American carburetted Ninjas.
For temperature, a simple warning light (now the Fi or low fuel light) could have been used.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Hmmm..Originally posted by Hyperion View Post2200 each.
Tempting.
I still prefer the temp guage. Its better to know how cool or hot your bike is running. The light will only glow when it reaches a specified threshold.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostI feel they could have done away with the temperature gauge & replaced it with a fuel gauge, like the American carburetted Ninjas.

Fuel guage is unnecessary IMO as the bike will easily run for at least 320-340 kms (under moderate/hard riding) before the low fuel lamp lights up. The trip meter helps in a big way here.

Sure, will let you know.Originally posted by rohitraghavan View Post@Adi,
If the cost is 2200 for each of the green side panels, i am in as well.Let me know when you plan to go.However i think a black seat would make it more proportional.

I will go to the cycle gear store, but the Rjay below seems like a good deal at that price.
The big reason why I opted for this is that I do not have to open up the seat section everytime I mount my bag. The base was fixed only once and I have not take it off since. It stretches like a glove on the seat, almost like a cover. Not been ripped off in public parking so far !Originally posted by n_aditya View Post

I checked out the website. Do the bags come with the seat pack (the one that stretches over the seat and clips on to the bag) or is it optional? The site does not mention this clearly.Originally posted by bluevolt View PostThe big reason why I opted for this is that I do not have to open up the seat section everytime I mount my bag.
