there's this group called g.o.d.s(group of delhi superbikers ) . they've heard it from somwhere ( now obviously they won't do anything for publicity). i tried to post the link of their fb page but my stupid browser isn't able to copy it . i m just requesting if anyone can contact the pbk showrooms in their respective cities and enquire about the monster's launch .

and am i allowed to be in this forum if i'm just 16???
if so then i'd introduce myself.

That makes no sense!!! If you can post in Kwacker 250 thread, why not an intro on the Who Are You section? BTW, are you saying your browser is unable to copy paste the link What browser are you using? Anything apart from this planet?

            • ninja disk pads

helloooooo everybody, recently i have changed my ninja front disk pad,but unfortunately it was not there in the showroom as well as in the company(as told by the guys in showroom),so i talked to higher officials of Bajaj Auto, they suggested me to chance the brake pad with those of Yamaha r15. ironically it is exactly the same pads by the same manufacturer NISSIN and above all it cost me around 1100 Rs that is 700 - 800 Rs cheaper than that of Kawasaki's "nissin pad".
              Now, i have some questions:
              1. Is there any compromises made on the spare made by nissin for yamaha r15 and for Kawasaki ninja?

              2. Is it good to use those pads on Ninja?

              • will wait for a 650cc bike under 5Lakhs

I wanted to buy this bike but i heard that the fun on the 250R wears off after a couple of months. So i plan to save 2 more lakhs and wait for the Ninja 650R which will be launched soon and priced at around 5 lakhs instead of shelling out 3 lakhs on a 250cc bike like the Ninja. But i do know that the Ninja 650R would give a mileage between 17-20kmpl. The fuel cost is really skyrocketing. I would also try out the Hyosung GT650R though before buying. I am sure it will be price at 4.5 Lakhs. Sounds more bang for the buck than the Ninja 250R. I would like to know the fuel economy of Ninja 250R from the users here

Check the last few pages and you will get an idea of the fuel economy.

And in fact, I'm in the same dilemma as you the only difference being I've already booked the CBR250R. Wife prefers the baby Ninja and I think if one is ready to spend 3.2 on a 250cc why not spend a couple more on a 650cc. But anyway, to each his own. Let us stick to the topic.

Can anyone confirm this as a fact? If this can be verified, then the EBC break pads for the Ninja 250 should work with the R15.

Wondering what attracts you to towards the FE of 250R when you're interested in 650R especially when you say 650R sounds more bang for the buck than the Ninja 250R

@dharmana: If you are concerned about the mileage better stick to N250R. It gives you decent mileage as well as sportbiking pleasure...

                            • Honda CBR 250R bookings open!

I have a premonition that petrol is soon gonna cost 100Rs a litre. Already its 65Rs whereas diesel is still 42Rs only. But some good news, Honda CBR250R bookings are open now for 1.5 lakhs only. I am sure the mileage gonna be better than Ninja 250R and performance will be almost the same especially in the city. I am sure handling's gonna be wow as well. The ABS version costs 30k more for 1.8 lakhs

Well to be honest, even a liter bike will be boring if its used only for high speed straight line dashes. What is exciting is cornering on these sportsbikes after the mindless acceleration turns boring.

The Ninja250R will deliver 30kmpl or more if ridden sedately. But that's no fun. So if you are riding past 120kmph expect around 25-27 kmpl.

The Hyosung 650R being more bang for the buck? I dont know. Seems dicey as they launched the comet here few years back thru kinetic and then disappeared. So finding competent mechanics for repairs and service will be a challenge is history repeats itself.

Worrying about fuel cost is one thing, what you should account for is repairs and periodic maintenance as well.
