If it comes at the cost of localization, thank you very much. I'd stick to the 'original' Ninja and source parts whenever I travel abroad.
Otherwise it will become an Eliminator vs Avenger thing.

Localization will reduce prices, but if they can get the QC right. Then why not?

'If' changes everything! Going by the finish I see on Bajaj motorcycles (as compared to the Ninja), I'd am prejudiced

            • On the issue of high spare part prices?? Is'nt Kawasaki setting shop in India, i mean its own chain of showrooms & service centers. If that's the case then the spare part price issue might be shortlived. Even if it's around 30% cheaper it would be of help.

the heart and soul of ninja apart from engine is the battery. if you are comfortable with the 6.5k price go for it and alternate between the batteries once u get the replacement.

Its much easier to buy a Ninja than maintaining it. Wonder wats gonna happen once our warranties are gone and Insurance is on a depreciated rate.

                      i also hope the same...

On the insurance front , had a word with prasanna .. he told that hdfc gives 0 % depreciation scheme also and the insurance guy comes on the same day for inspection and the insurance rate are the same... .. good to hear that... shall go for HDFC next time..

I heard HDFC would be charging around 8k for the 0% depreciation policy as compared to the 5k charged by Oriental. However if the rates are similar that would be great.
