LOL, i knew this was coming. Well, the battery is some Japanese make but since it is imported along with the other parts the cost is high owing to duties.

Heck, even one tire (IRC) costs around 9k IIRC (if changed at the bajaj service center) where as Pirelli Sport Demons cost less than half this price in Blore (for one tire).

Sorry to interrupt Adi, but doesn't the import on parts attract only 30% tax?

Heard about the shocking tyre prices some time back. But 10K for the battery is absolutely ridiculous!

An Amaron or the likes would cost about 30-40% of that and will work just as well.

However, I need to transport my bike to Chennai this weekend and I can't wait a week for their process to complete (which would take atleast 2 weeks going by my experience with them). Hence the query on whether i should change it asap.
for the warrenty on batteries the manual says kawasaki is not responsible and replacement has to come from the respective supplier.

mean while try bachoo motors mumbai for a suitable replacement.

So how much do these parts cost? I'm interested in knowing about the RVM, indicator, etc.
The RVM costs around 2250+250 labour charge and indicator comes for 1348+150 labour charge..

I think my battery's going. If I try to get the bike started after 2-3 days, it makes the typical "krrrr.." sound and then nothing happens. I have to try the starter button a few times to get it started.

Should I get it changed ? (I guess the battery is YTX9-BS).

                    Thks

How much kms have you done.. or how old is your bike..

Whoa Indicator replacement 1500 bucks, some one pinch me. My i20's tail light costs lesser than this.

If you would have compared it with the BMW,Audi or Merc.. it would have been more suitable..

                        • IMHO, the spare and service cost for the Ninja is an absolute rip-off.

I just hope the CBR 250R does create a dent on the Ninja sales so that Bajaj rethink their Spares Strategy.

Its much easier to buy a Ninja than maintaining it. Wonder wats gonna happen once our warranties are gone and Insurance is on a depreciated rate.
