Not yet. But if Kawasaki comes with its 600 and is successful, don't you think Yamaha and Honda will compete?Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostBut Honda & Yamaha aren't planning CBR 600 and R-6, are they?
The reason Bajaj is having a good time with the 250r is that Yamaha and Honda do not have competing bikes and it does'nt make sense to develop one only for the Indian market. The company I keep:
Yamaha Rx100
Yamaha RD 350 (HT)
Bajaj Pulsar 150
Kawasaki Ninja 250r

tough competition for who??? how so?Originally posted by Yasser View PostBajaj better be careful there...R6, Fireblade 600 and GSX-R 600 are gonna be tough competition.
the 650R and the Jap super-sports are simply in different leagues.
spec-wise, performance-wise and most importantly price-wise.
they'll prolly be priced a minimum of 3 lac (maybe even 4 lac) more than the Kawa 650R.
that's if and when they get here...
any news? no! not even remote speculation!
so until then the Kawa650R is safe.
The GT650R tho on the other hand has been bashed far less than the K650R all over..

Takes a day or two after the payment for the plates to reach you.
I got it done in about 24 hours
, they're extremely helpful & provide good service.
Friday 11:30 AM - I initiate an email communication with Utsav
Friday 01:00 PM - I make an online payment
Saturday 11:45 AM - I get the plates
But they don't make HSRP, they only make smart plates, which are really good in looks, fit & quality. But doesn't contain chip or anything related to HSRP. This is how it looks on my Rx.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

True Kawasaki has the advantage of the FTA between Thailand and India and therefore will bring in only those bikes, which are manufactured at their Thailand facility. The ZX6R is therefore ruled out. There can be fair competition only in 2 scenarios 1) Indian Govt changes duty structure 2) The other Jap manufacturers set up base in Thailand or any other Asian country having a FTA with India. The company I keep:

I spent some 380 bucks for the rear plate. I have the regn. number on the front stickered to the windshield, so didnt order the front plate.Originally posted by vrathor View Post@aargee, how much did u shell out for this? This is how it looks (sorry for the crappy shot). The white part is highly reflective and can be considered as an additional safety feature at night.
Edit - the blue titanium finish bolts are not supplied with the plates. I bought these for around 40 bucks a pair in a motorcycle spares shop. Ordinary looking bolts are supplied with the order.
@aargee : your RX is a home appliance?

All this talk about the big bikes coming, what is the use?? apart from a race track, has any of the current 250R owners put their hand up & say they have exploited the full potential of their Ninjas?? I mean you hit what you think is the top speed & you either run out of road or have to brake, the next time you go 5 kmph higher than your current top speed & that becomes the benchmark. A machine higher than the 250R is just money down the drain atleast in a country like ours. Like the 250R more often than not these end up as posers.

^^ you sound like one distressed customer with bajaj or kawasaki, who was refused a ninja in the color you wanted.
mate, in terms of exploitation, im sure there are many here ( including me ) who have exploited the acceleration and braking of this bike to the max. i did comment a few posts back, that i did not find the chassis as responsive as i expected in turns/cornering, so that is a let down for its potential, but im sure there will be better riders out there who will exploit it fully.
Your point is that a 250 is more than enough, yes agreed, the point that we dont need bigger bikes... not agreed.

- KTM Duke 200
- Yamaha RXZ 5 speed
