Price drop is unlikely to happen due to the 100% imported content of the Ninja 250. Even if they do consider a price drop, how much is it going to be? Rs.20k? Rs. 30k max? That still is a lakh over the speculated price of the CBR 250R (Rs.1.5 lakh) and won't serve any purpose at all. But I personally think a lot of people who were considering the Ninja will downtrade to the Honda. That bike has the looks and the overall package going for it. What Bajaj should do is keep the Ninja at the same price and counter the CBR with a 250-300 cc naked or faired bike which they should NOT call the pulsar.

well if i am not wrong than u have Ninja with some free flow exhaust?
IMHO, Free flow exhausts on a N250 are a waste of money for street use - they sound good at idle, but once the RPM's go up, they sound terrible. The stock, on the other hand, sounds sissy at idle, but bliss at higher revs. This is relatively speaking, of course.

Are you sure? The price you have quoted is more than the Tax capital of the country, Karnataka. I am paying 319188 in Bangalore and its probably the most expensive here.

I was supposed to get mine tomorrow but thanks to the great RTO, I will probably get it on 18th evening.

Can any one confim on that , so that i can go back and dilute the micture if the ratio is truly 1:4. ???
It is true..and I am posting after experimenting on my Lancer....With only pure distilled water the Radiator fan came on only after 2 Kms and remained on for only 30 seconds. With 25% coolant it happened in 1.5 Km itself and fan remained on for 40 seconds.with 50 % the fan came on in 1 Km and remained on till 1 minute.I did not try any other combination...
The tests were done at 35 C ambient..each day after fully flushing out the previous mix...and same route, load ,and driving conditions.
I learnt about this from a site dealing in aircraft engine reliability, and temperature differences on same engine with different coolant mix percentage.

            • Headlight Fogging after service.

Got my third service done today....
              They Washed it...
              They Cleaned it...
              They Polished it....

And then it rained ... heavily all the way back from the Service Center.

Anyways... Now I see that my headlight is fogging up.. this has never happened before. Could somebody tell wat screw up PBK has done... and how to fix it?

Also some pics of my new Pirelli Sport Demons

A fully imported CBU Ninja would be around 4 lakh+ (double of US price). Since it is CKD, hence more than a 50% price decrease. Which city are you from? Bangalore has the highest prices, and it is Rs.3.19 lakhs.

Water has entered your headlight assembly past the seals. Must have happened while washing. Need to open up the assembly and dry the condensation from inside.

That black bike is Praveen's (startrek) Ninja. He got this foam seat pad from somewhere.. and he dropped his bike and is awaiting parts, hence you saw it at PBK.

There is moisture leak in to your Headlight. If pressure washing is done beyond recommended level,or without covering sensitive areas, then this is likely to happen....Your sealed beam has got some moisture inside it and when there is a temperature difference the vapor condenses on the cooler surface ....on the glass of the headlight.Get it fixed at PBK,or your reflector will become bad soon

                    That cannot be true...
i was also thinking it to buy it from dehradun my home town where it was costing me 2,89,000 whereas in bangalore, it is 3,19,000.

but had to settle it from here only , as logistics for a new bike would have been a risky option.
                    RIP Marco

                          • @bluevolt, killer_instinct: Since you guys got your tyres changed, I would like to know-what kind of equipment do these shop people use to get the tyre fitted onto the rim? Is it so professional that it does not even scratch the rim paint?
And what does the tubeless tyre look like on the inside? I have heard there is a thin tube that sticks to the rim walls-it it true?

These guys had some machines which they used to take the tyre out of the rim. I think these are the same used for Cars in most tyre shops. There was no damage at all to the Rim.

The tubeless looks like any other tyre from the inside... In fact I especially looked inside it to check the puncture. It looked like a chewing gum stuck on the inner surface.

Oh yeah I remember seeing that machine when my friend was getting Michelins fitted onto his Indica!

Ok-so you mean nothing at all inside the tyre, just air? My friend was saying there is a small sticky tube that sits just at the inner edge of the rim.
